It's on the official website too. The Green Brigade should stick to what they do best, bringing atmosphere and colour to the stadium. Instead of embarrassing themselves with protests such as the one seen on Saturday.

The club are apologising because it had nothing to do with them. I agree with the sentiment of the banner but don't think they should have displayed the banner.
I've no problem if Celtic want to apologise, if they don't then you know what will happen. -
Yeah I love the green brigade, but all they were going to by doing that on saturday was bring shame to the club. Didn't really use intellect when deciding which banner to make next.

Just saw the banner shown on sky news and they read out a statement from Celtic saying the opinions aren't reflective of the whole of the support , and Sky News will be going live to Celtic park at 1.30pm , probably for more on the story..

Green Brigade - Login
this is their statement -
All these banner gives is ammunition, don't agree with them Parkhead is a footballing paradise not a political one, we also had a protest against the SFA and all these banner did was avert attention away from this.
-
The problem with the Green Brigade imo is that they are anti-poppy. They want none of the players to wear one because of their beliefs. For me the poppy is a personal decision, players should be allowed to either wear one or not without feeling pressured either way.

the only embarassing thing about that banner is the spelling

Have no issue with the sentiment behind the banner, but the GB must have know'n how this would be percieved...there is nothing wrong with having an opion that is against the Poppy, but one section cannot speak for the whole club, and common sense would say that it is better to avoid "risking" the reputation of the club....

christ not the whole poppy stuff AGAIN; yes it was stupid of the GB to stir up trouble this week of all weeks, and celtic have to apologize i've no problem with that
i'm not a poppy fascist as john snow would call them, and i dont disgree with the idea that the poppy has come to symbolise military glorification rather than what it was originally intended for, i just think after all the fuss last year it might have been wise not to bother especially when this just gives the media a chance to turn their fire back on us when we have the SFA on the rack -

i love the green brigade, seem to be the only section of the ground which is bouncing regardless of team or score.
however these political statements have no place at parkhead and only give the hun media more chance to slate us -
