I found everything about it quite embarassing, from the spelling to trying to pass the comments off as that of every Celtic fan.

The only folk I really think should have the final say if they want to wear poppys on the hoops is the players.

I fully support the banner, I have never worn a poppy and I never will.

yeah i know. The fact that they spelled it wrong will make the public think they are just a bunch of idiots. Bit of a red neck to have a typo on such a banner.

As I said in the other thread, an individuals protest against the poppy should be to not wear one themselves.

There is no need to protest on behalf of everyone else.

Its an embarassment lets leave the political poisonous pish to the huns. The Green brigade bring the noise at Parkhead its true but that banner was a joke and they've went down in my estimation.
As for people saying "if you dont want to see it Parkhead isn't the place to be." Pure pish!! Thats like saying if you dont want to see Racism then parkhead isn't the place to be. Because similarly a dumbass minority shout the same old racist pish at every game. I pay my dough for my season book and I go to games, I dont care about the political pish im there for the football. I have the right to go there and no be embarrased coz a small minority care more about banners than supporting their team.
If you wana make political points go join a fecking debate team!!

    Rant over. Mon the hoops.

Every country tried to invade every other country hundreds of years ago....did they not? That was the way.Scotland invaded and beat the Irish also.Robert the Bruce to be precise.Either way,how does anyone know for a fact that Ireland and its Celtic/Gaelic ancestors did not push out the original settlers? The Gaels did not originate in Ireland you know....they invaded it also.how far back do you want to go?

Can anyone tell me why we care so much about afghanistan and iraq. I can totally agree with the war on british soldiers in Ireland, which most Celtic fans will have sympathy with but Afghan 9/11 and all that surely we have to fight terrorism like that just cause they are fighting the british army doesn't make them relevent to us and am I niave in saying the poppy and rememberence Sunday is for WW1 and WW2, plus this is deflecting away from the footballing side of Celtic too never known a thread to grow so fast

well i dont. but it's just what i think.

i dont think the players will feel as strong about it as the fans tbh.

most of them aren't british or irish, therefore i dont think many will understand it as much as the fans.
