Scottish Indy and leave the EU, because I believe Scotland should be independent and staying in the EU essentially prevents that. Scotland should aim for true independence, not shifting the power from Westminster to Brussels.

I've shifted this thread from the HP&R section to the pub in order to see how the wider forum feels on the matter.

The question should be do you want Scottish independence or not.

Independence and it's definition varies from person to person.
Independence in the absolute sense would mean you as a nation were alone full stop, engaging with states of course but nothing else.
In the modern world with numerous I.G.O's this is not possible and so every state across the world forfeits some portion of sovereignty to I.G.Os such as the U.N. the World Bank, Nato and of course the European Union (applicable to European states only).
In a globalised world it is practically impossible to be independent in the truest sense - no nation really is, save for North Korea.
This argument 'well you aren't independent then' is not factually correct because no nation in the modern world is.
There are plenty of arguments about staying in or leaving with regards to the E.U. but this 100% independence isn't one.
This is basic high school international relations. -

We're not even just talking about wealthy business owners, doctors, dentist and solicitors, we're talking about folk who run your local Tesco or Aldi or computer technicians, PA's and such. -
