At CB.
He needs to be their. When he is there he is the only person who looks assured, at least slightly dominant in the air and the one who speaks and organises the most.
Right now I would put in Mulgrew and Rogne. There will be some slip-ups from time to time with them two but for me it's by far the most dominant central pairing we have.
When he is their we are also far more capable of building play from the back, our full team pushes ten yards further forward.

I agree. I love Big Charlie but for me he's the best of a bad bunch and that's about it.
He needs a Chris Samba type player beside him. It's unbelievable that Mulgrew has to coach the vastly experienced Maj through games. -

I would be happy with Mulgrew next to a big * off tank.
He's a very clever defender and exceptional on the ball. He takes a helluva lot of pressure of everybody with his calm presence, had good timing of the tackle, half decent in the air and has good pace. Positioning can be excellent at times and he is still young.
Charlie Mulgrew and one other for me, right now that's Rogne. Rogne in my opinion is by far our most dominant CB in the air. -
heid is on the right of CB and is decent Berra is on the Left of CB and you'll never see to left footers in a cb pairing

Right now, it looks like Charlie could play in any position in the team, and still do a job for us.

i'd be playing mulkgrew alongside wilson if wilson was fit...i'd see how wanyama played alongside charlie. as my centreback pairing.
i'd thank maj for his service and usher him out the door, asking if he could give loovens a lift to the airport. i'd then register mjallby as a player who * couldnt be any worse. -

I would give charlie and rogne the chance over a load of games.TBH we have tried everything else and IMO the defending is of same level as any irish league team and even thats been generous.

Not first name on the team sheet for me. But no question he would be starting at center back for me ahead of Majstorovic and Loovens. With Kelvin Wilson out injured for 2 months I would like to see Rogne in there alongside Mulgrew. I rate Rogne and think he can be a good player for us.

Dont think Mulgrew is one but he would be for me. The rest are all competed with between Wilson/Matthews, Dan/Wilson/Mulgrew/Loovens/Rogne, Commons/Ki/Forrest and Stokes/Bangura/Samaras.

Charlie's not perfect but defo gets forward well and puts in a lot of effort. Gives away too many fouls though, similar to Broony his discipline is a let down - as shown by his current suspension. -

Brown is no longer a certainty. He's injured right now for a start and it looks as though this is going to be Forrest's breakout season, as a first team star.
