Lennon quoted as saying he thinks it will be impossible to keep him and a huge club will come in with a huge bid?
Obviously we wont pay magabucks for a new goalie-how long has he been here 3 years?its sad that when a player shines for us we have to then say goodbye after a short time and hope the next guy can be good.
I think everyone agrees its a toss up between him and boruc for best modern day keeper we have had-he is better than boruc for me plus just like just attitude better-i remember boruc in an interview with a polish magazine saying if a bigger club than celtic came in for him he would have to go-lol what did fiorentina win??-anyways any ideas who we could get in or even what clubs would come in for him?how much do you think he is worth?

Well we brought in this young lad Max Oberschmidt. Not sure what he's like but you never know he might be a star in the making. Zakuska is good enough for SPL, not sure if he's be good enough for the CL as I don't think he's ever played in it.. but I don't think so.

Obviously we have to be realistic and accept that Forster is likely to move on if he keeps up his impressive form in Europe. Also if he gets even one cap for England it could as much as double his asking price.

As for his replacement we also have to be realistic. Yann Sommer of Basel and Maksym Koval of Dynamo Kiev are two young goalies I like but I don't know how affordable they would be, or if they would want to join us.

I think Oberschmidt is only on loan until the end of December, although I'm sure I read a few weeks ago he was eyeing an extension to the loan.

Didn't realise that, thought he had bought him. I'm sure we bought a young polish keeper at some point as well? Can't remember.

Oberschmodt was loaned for the UEFA Youth League in mind so doubt he'll ever be near the 1st team barring some utter catastrophe

What we have in our favour is we have an excellent goalkeeping coach in Stevie Woods so an unpolished gem won't take long to buff up.

It will be a massive shame when he leaves though, he'll be one of the shining lights of our current policy along with Vic and Hooper.

If he leaves in January, Załuska will do till the end of the season. After that, who knows. Maybe Oberschmidt or the Dutch U21 'keeper we've been linked with... maybe the Finnish 'keeper.

Koval would be incredible. I think he might be out of our price range though.

If we're out of Europe by then I'd be happy with Zaluska in the league from January until the summer. Gives us time to search for a replacement.

Long term I'd perhaps be looking at someone along the lines of Vito Mannone. Don't know why Kieran Westwood is being preferred to him at Sunderland, he's a good young goalie.

I'd prefer a shot-stopper to an aerially-minded goalie. Ideally, both, but it would cost more to get the complete package, even in a young keeper.
