with the a.g.m only 2 weeks away the shareholders should be asking why this club which is only half a million in debt should push the boat out if we are still in touch by the january transfer window and get 2 decent centre halfs and why this club has went over 2 years without a no 1 goalkeeper . we cant blame neil lennon for all the problems at the club as i think the board need to take some of the blame too as i think we could have bought a better quality of player to the club if they gave neil a bigger budget as we spent not that much at the summer . also think whats the point of sacking neil just now as who could come in october . i think the shareholders must not give the board a easy ride at this agm and is dermot desmond going to turn up at a agm for once as the shareholders must want to ask him where is celtic going under his leadership .

The board should be absolutely hounded at this but it won't happen.
I've been expecting tough questions to be asked for the past few AGM'S but I'm still waiting. -

The usual line of questioning at the celtic AGM :
Wee Mary fae carfin asks - Is there any chance of the Shop getting OVEN GLOVES in store the same colour as the away strip ??? :31:
It will be staged managed and will "Lord Dermot Lucan" be there ??
Is that all then lets wrap this up and retreat to the walfrid lounge for tea and sandwiches which you will have to pay for. -
I'd ask if its true that the only reason we've got Forster is that Newcastle are still paying his wages thereby saving us spending some cash on a keeper like Craig Gordon. Theres plenty more crucial questions needing asked but it really bugs me seeing reports that we are gonna permenantly sign a dud keeper(in my opinion) come next season. Also someone must ask: Samaras - Why?
-
Desmond will be nowhere near it, that's one thing you can be absolutely sure of. -

surely some real tough questions need asking . ive got an a4 page full of them
-
I would be asking why we didn't build from the back, we've spent next to nothing on the defence and all successful teams have a strong back-bone. I can see a lot of * being asked though.
-
Why should the board be hounded?
Neil Lennon spent £2.5 million on a striker we didn't need when it's clear to all and * sundry that it's CB's that we've been needing for 3 * seasons!
Why couldn't he have got a couple of decent CB's??? Even the * Huns managed to pick up a couple of decent ones with minimal outlay and fuss!!!
It's not the Boards fault that Lennon can't prioritise his funds! -

Over CB's???? Are you crazy?
-
That's true but we wanted one better than Murphy. Now we've got 6 front men on the books and with Hooper off the boil, none of them are good enough to win back the League. -
Nah not over a centre back, the fact of the matter is that Lennon was given insufficient funds in order to buy both - theres no point on him spending a few hundred thousand on a centre half no better than what we have already. Considering Lawwell said his usual when renewals were up - 'we hope to buy real quality, 2 or 3' - did that happen? No. Who's fault is that? Cos Lennon doesn't set the budget.
-
The rookie payed:
£750k for Goian.
£400k for Bocanegra.
Both appear better than any CB at our club!
Why couldn't Lenny have made similar transactions!?
Nope... I'll just whack out £2.5 million on a striker that no-one had heard of because Henke said he was good! Is that good management!? -
Lennon isn't a stupid man, he didn't sign Bangura based on the word of Henrik Larsson, although his opinion has to count for something considering his time here. They may well be better than our defenders but had Lennon been given enough money to sign Bangura as well as a good centre half, which isn't cheap, then he would have done so, he knows as well as anyone else our defence is * and needs improved, but you can only work with what you've got, which is a board who seem to be more obsessed with zero debt than the team.

That doesn't stack up... so what if the 'stingy' board was only sanctioning £2.5 million as his budget!? He still could have got us a couple of good solid CB's if he knew what he was looking for! But he didn't... he blew the lot on a striker on the recommendation of Henke (great GREAT player, but is he a scout?).
What was he thinking! -
No he never, Wanyama was brought in and can play centre half, Bangura was a player he wanted and therefore should sign, clearly there were defenders he would have wanted but wasn't able to sign due to lack of funding. Lennon may well be tactically naive but he has spent wisely for us, bar Daryl Murphy.
-
Why couldn't he identify players like Goian and Bocanegra who were going on the cheap (I'm only using them as an example as both were clearly happy to come to Glasgow and play in our * league)?
