I know this saga rumbles on, but let's say the English fa agree to us being elected into their league but, now here is the dilemma-We have to start in the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Premier_League"]Northern Premier League - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame][ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Premier_League_Division_One_North"]Northern Premier League Division One North - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]. So four promotions just to get into league 2.
Are you up for it?
We would have to take ANY opportunity to move south.

No chance, We would be sacrificing european football for at least 6 years! Thats with us promoting every year and finishing top 6 in epl. No thanks. Stay were we are
-
So we just get stagnant. Play in the ultra non-competitive spl. winning league after league (and the occasional cup) Selling any decent players a year after signing them and rubbing our hands at the thought of playing the huns. I'm struggling........
-
What if Celtic were given a place straight in the BPL?

What player will want to play for us in the 8th tier of English football? * sake man.
-
When I spoke of Celtic joining the BPL in the other thread I meant and presumed they would be given a place in the BPL and not have to get successive promotions.
-
Go support another team then mate.
-
We're Scottish, * playing there and the possibility of representing them in Europe, with our history isn't on.
-
The club wouldn't even stop to think about it for 1 second and rightly so. England is the key to the multimedia revenues we need to be able to compete at the highest level. The board would jump at the chance.
-
To be honest, the English premier league is a non starter, who has ever joined the English league in it's top division?
We are either going to stay in Scotland, or when/ if an opportunity arises join a new pan European league. -
You have more chance of going straight into a BPL because no club south of the boarder would entertain any European league except the CL league.
-
Celtic and Rangers deserve some respect they wouldn't be expected to start from the very bottom.
-
Sorry, I can't see it happening, I may be wrong and never say never, but no one else has ever got in. Rangers were trying to get in for years, they were not wanted and I don't think they want us either.
-
Rangers deserve respect .... :56:
They no longer exist. -
Think you are both very wrong, like I said in the other thread football is football plain and simple. You will both be in the BPL within the next couple of years mark my words.
-
:50:
We support Celtic not the league they play in.
