Who ever finishes 1st and 2nd in the SPL will be given a bye into the BPL. The teams that finish 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th will be put into the Championship which will be called the BPL 2.

They won't be and aren't the English leagues they are the British league's, whether that softens the blow.

It's a shame the Scottish league doesn't have anything to offer.

The Scottish league has lots to offer but you have to admit it is just too small for a club with ambitions and is also the size of Celtic.

There's only positives if Celtic joins the English leagues.

So, if Celtic were to knock it back and Partick put a run together and finished 7th, they would get into the championship? WOW, talk about a culture shock!:smiley-laughing002:

PS, I wouldn't let the Hibs support know about this, it would probably push them right over the edge! :47:

The fact we see more glory in getting into almost any level of the English set up as opposed to almost certainly winning the scottiah league indefinately speaks volumes about the glory of our domestic game.

And if there is no glory left in the game then there is little to get excited about.

Why would the history of the club have to be given up?

If that had happened in England to the likes of Man U, Chelsea or Man C, do you honestly think that they would have been relegated at all? Similarly, look at Spain and the unfair treatment given to Barcelona and Real. If anything Scottish football showed some balsl to relegate them that far. Admittedly it was forced as they clearly wanted them in the Championship but still , just doing it showed some balls.

As for the idea that we should leave because the country is run by Rangers, what a load of rubbish, most people hate them more than they hate us. Yes, we have suffered corruption and unfair treatment more than many, but we have also profiteered from our monopoly over the league; and even now PL is one of the most powerful figures in the game.

The Scottish league is not great, in fact I would not even call it good. But I will say it is better than many people on here believe. Whilst there is little competition teams are changing their strategies and spending money on rearing young players, as opposed to the hammer throwers of yesterday. Most teams try and play football, even if they are not as good at it as us, but is that any different to what we are like when we go into Europe.

Personally I would rather stay in this backwater than move to England. The EPL hs whored itself out to the point where it is no longer the sport that I love and I would rather we remained at this level and showed some fight to be taken more seriously, as opposed to selling our soul just to earn a few more pounds.

You are giving the SFA credit they don't deserve here. They didn't relegate the huns at all. The huns vanished off the face of the earth and the authorities fastracked a new club into the league system. This wouldn't have happened anywhere else in the footballing world.

It would have took real balls to make the * start at the very bottom like any other club would have. Their decision was cowardly and greedy.

Some people seem to forget it was the sfa that passed the buck on what there fate was to the clubs and would have been happy to welcome them back into the spl..
They then had votes for the first division,it was only 'most' of scotlands clubs that did the right thing which put them where they went, infact it was a disgrace they even ended up in that division but was the harshest punishment our clubs could give in the circumstances of the authrities bending rules and passing the buck..
