Does anybody have any theories as to what happened to this guy? I've never been so disappointed with a player since we signed Graveson!
I remember he started so well: jinking past players, scoring goals, perfectly placed passes... Now it's like playing with 10 men when he's in the team!!!

I was really exicited when we were first linked to him because he was a high profile player a few years ago, most overhyped signing ever imo
id rather get rid of donati than get rid of sno
The only time i got excited was when Donati was replaced by Hartley and Robson last season.
i think hes a man of immense talent but also a man of very little enthusiasm and dedication to the game. when he first signed he was full of flair and imagaination but after a few months his performances looked as though he just simply couldnt be arsed anymore and didnt want to put in the hard work for the team. i think he's caught up in a mixture of complacency and arrogance and doesnt feel the need to put in that extra bit of effort to play harder for the team which is a shame because hes a play of great talent but fails to prove it regularly. he's italy's most capped under 21 player and i think that says it all about him, he'll settle for just being mediocre and isn't willing to further himself to advance onto the next stage.
totally agree with you mate :50:
He lacks heart IMO.
Most of the time , he doesn't look like he cares and wants to be elsewhere.
I really hope Strachan stops playing him - he's had enough chances and, like I said before, it's almost a handicap having him there in the midfield!
He's good enough but isn't suited to fast, aggressive football imo.

When he scored against Shaktar i thought we'd finally see him get to grips with the style of football he has the skill but no heart!

i am going to make a crazy prediction. i think donati is going to be one of these guys who is not going to adapt to scottish football. i think celtic well sell him back to a mid table italian team and i think he will come onto a game and go to a biger team in seria A. then before you know it we will be watching italian football thinking how could you not do that at celtic. i dont think he wil be a world beater incase it comes across like that but i do think he will be a good player.
not really a crazy prediction
Problem - he can't play football
Solution - sell the *

problem = confidence
some players thrive on it more than others and to be honest id love to see him get it back because imo hes a good player and with the right handling he could be a star and i hope for his sake that it happens
