JVOH is uspended and Skippy still injured. I think we need a few changes. I think Caddis desrves a go at RB and we can move the solid but boring Hinkel over to LB where he might give us stability. I would bring in Loovens for Mick too. I would also be tempted to go for a Brown-Robson midfield. The wingers and strikers have to remain the same as the last two games due to injuries and suspensions.
.............Boruc (no other option)
Caddis.........Caldwell.....Loovens........Hinkel
Naka.............Brown.........Robson.......Aidan
....................................Maloney
..................Samaras
That team would be pretty exciting with loads of ball players and threat.
Discuss next game- juggle line up a bit in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.

only think i would change from above is hartley in for brown, just to let brown know he has to improve his attitude, but tbh wgs has him pinned back so we wont ever get the lung busting runs from him that we seen with hibs.
EDIT: just seen muttcutts version lol n i would put crosas in instead of hartley now lol -

I agree, I think that's our best line up at the moment.
Not sure why Boruc needed that comment next to his name, he will play fantastic next game. -

Good line-up but I would put McDonald in for Samaras if fit.

I find it strange with so many people having a go at Hinkel's performances so far at RB that yous would throw him in over the other side. Wison struggled on Sunday because he couldn't tackle with his left foot and the same would go for the German.
Anyway our next couple of games are at Motherwell then Kilmarnock. Two teams who will be up for a battle which you have to take into consideration.
I'd go for
.............................Boruc
Caddis......Caldwell............McManus.....Naylor
...........................Hartley
Nakamura....Brown............Robson......Maloney
..........................Samaras
Subs
Brown
Loovens
Wilson
Hutchison
Crosas
Killen
McGeady -
It's time for Scott Brown to cool his heels on the bench imo!

Doesn't make much less sense that Wilson at LB. Having played in the full back positions myself I would suggest that while a player might be more comfortable on their preferred side, you're essentially performing the same role.

I'd try Naylor back at LB. If he can re capture his original form then great, otherwise surely he could still be better than Wilson. Who is being subject to a lot of unfair abuse considering he is being played out of positionn

Id keep Hinkel at RB, even though he has been poor, I dont think Caddis is cut out for a defender, looks more like a winger.
Sammy's the one getting us goals atm, so stick with him.
I would NOT drop McGeady, but would have Maloney playin off Sammy.
And for pity's sake PLEASE stop playin SCOTT BROWN, Strachan!!!
Oh and i think Mick/Gary have come in for unfair abuse (Mick in particular).
I for one am happy with him as captain for now. I'd start with our 2 main CBs, but begin introducin Loovens more to give him a chance to really impress. -

Wouldnt mind seeing either of them, might add a bit of pace to the team.

Before every knocks this. Easily changeable to 4-3-3 if required. Some punch at CB positions. Surely worth a try. Dumb and dumber don't impress ?

yup... a 3-6-1 . lol.
Caddis and hinkel playing as wing backs rather than full backs mcgeady and naka staying inside rather than hugging the touchline and helping caddis and hinkel get forward hartley and maloney working together to distrabute the play
playing a packed narrow pitch rather than two men in the middle and 2 who never have their foot off the touchlineLast edited by a moderator: Sep 2, 2008
