really think Brown has been one of our better players in the last couple of weeks and all the focus of change should be on defense. Its the defense (Artur, Wilson and Mick) that got us beaten on Sunday, nobody else. Artur we will forgive but the other two have previous.

 

pace is not the issue either - with Maloney, Aidan, Sammy and to a lesser extent Brown we were well off for pace on Sunday compared to normal

Try Caddis at LB because out of all of our fullbacks he is by far the most comfortable on the ball thus will be the least troubled by being on his wrong side, plus he's our most attacking fullback which really opens up McGeady's game.

Brown/Hartley depends on attack vs defend mentality. McGeady and Maloney give us width and attacking pedigree. Nka gets to float around in the middle linking things up between our front three, plus he's by far got the best long range technique, along i suppose with Maloney.

I dropped McManus because I really think all of our defenders need a kick up the *. McManus needs to be replaceable because he is nowhere near our best player and we cannot be chained to his poor performances just because he's captain. I don't know if Doumbe is fit if he is i'd put him in instead of Hinkel.

its a fairly untested and risky formula, but just now i'd prefer to try things out than plod away with a tired uninventive 442. Against Falkirk, yes they were poor, but the force of new players in the team seemed to give us a lift. I think we looked at our best with Crosas on and in my opinion he is the kind of player we need to be building our style of play around, not guys like Robson. He's a great guy and a good player, but I want to see more slick, skilled play, not just dogged determination. There room for it, a need for it, but as part of a greater plan, not THE plan.

I really have no idea what our best formation/team is (don't think anyone really does) but I'd like to see Crosas get a start sooner rather than later & i'd also want Robsons name on that team sheet first for the next game at the expense of Brown.

 

why the * is everyone sayin samaras?? hes scored 3 goals big deal 2 against a very poor falkirk defence and a break of the ball against scotlands shame. for maloney to be playin behind a striker it would have 2 be either jvoh or skippy who stay up top rite through the middle, samaras was coming far too wide against the huns, leavin maloney rite through the middle wher he is no where near as effective

 

JVOH is suspended for next game and Skippy injured. We need Samaras in team and Maloney playing with him is best option.

Brown needs to be dropped with Robson in the centre.

when is mizuno bk in full training??
id like to see more of him as he looked quite good from what ive seen,and would surely deserve some time on the park to prove what he can do.
do you think he could give us some more options?? ie naka maybe centre with him right mid? whats your views on him ??

I know Robbo at LB isnt ideal as he is far better in the middle but needs must there is nobody else good enough to play LB.

Caddis and Crosas both deserve a chance and cant be any worse than Hinkle/hartley.

Donati has his flaws but simply i would rather play anyone ahead of Brown. He's on record saying this is his ideal position, playing in a three with someone sitting behind him.

Naka must be played in the middle of the park end of!!

 

Like the team mate tho i dont think i'd have Donati in there, Maybe McCourt, also you say that Naka has to play in the centre " end of" yet you have him on wide left?? lol

still a good team tho

I think Loovens and Robson need to be given a run, Brown needs to take a seat, and McGeady might stand to miss a game in the coming future.
May as well throw Naylor to the wolves while we're at it, whats he been up to anyway?
