The two players out on loan who were signed as first team players (I'm not sure Friðjónsson was signed as a first team player, despite Lennon's remarks). Neither have spent much time under Deila. Might Pukki, in particular, or Baldé have a future here yet?
Pukki's done quite well on loan at Brøndby, by all accounts. There are serious question marks over his ability to cut it at a big club and he's not a prolific goalscorer by any stretch of the imagination but he does have some ability and Deila might bring out the best in him.
Baldé, I don't think is suited to Deila's style of play and he probably won't make it here but it'll be tough to find someone to take him of our hands. He was most likely signed for his physical attributes, so maybe Deila can do something to bring out his footballing ability like he's done with Griffiths - it's a long shot.

No. Pukki is decent but he doesn't fit in anywhere and isn't good enough anyway. Balde is just a pish footballer.
-
Balde isnt a footballer, I think I could beat him at a game of longies
-
I always liked Pukki but he lacked the mental attributes to be a successful Celtic striker IMO.
Balde is a big dumpling. -

Pukki might but only as a back up never as a starter
-
Balde looks like he has very infrequent moments of magic against random opposition and is worse that useless the rest of the time. Not the kind of player Deila appreciates in my opinion.
Also, I wouldn't say Deila brought out Griffs footballing ability, it was more he got him to act a bit more mature and focus on fitness. Griffiths has always had bags of ability. -
You've seriously got to question whoever suggested / scouted Balde. He has the first touch of a brick wall. The same scouts that can't identify a guy like Andy Robertson when we've been screaming out for a left back for cover / competition for Izaguirre.
Ok, it's not as bad not noticing a player but when you actually put the effort into going to watch players then anyone suggesting the club sign the likes of Balde and Bangura for millions of pounds needs to take a look at themselves. -

Reading the first post again, I don't really know what you mean by saying Deila has brought out Griffiths' footballing ability.
He's still an average footballer, but he does score plenty of goals. That's how he's always been. -

I don't think so. Balde is technically awful. His first touch is a tackle, and he is just a very clumsy player in all honesty. I don't think Pukki has it in him to be a success here.
-
Pukki is too timid
Balde ....well he is just a boot cleaner that got lucky, seen better subuteo players tbh
No future for them both -

Actually think he would be good for making space on the Left side would probably have to have him really far inside for it to work we already had Stokes for that but Pukki would keep the ball a lot more then again Armstrong will keep it more then pukki in saying that I don't really want him back he's not really worth it best for both parties for him to move on
Definitely need someone to play the Left side instead of Armstrong though don't think he's the answer either
Balde no chance -
Bit harsh on balde, hes just not good enough for us, hows he doing on his loan club?
-
I think the pair of them should be shifted on. Balde is surely gonna get moved on. Balde and £1million for Ciftci. Pukki, well Pukki could do well anywhere in Scandinavia or maybe a Championship side. Reckon we'll get them both moved on. It might take time though.
Pukki might give us a season. Might have to play off the bench from time to time but that's just the way it is for everyone. Worst case scenario is we've got a good player in the squad. -
Get them both to *, Griff, Scep and a new young up and comer as 3rd choice with wee miller getting a game or two here and there. No need for them for them anymore.

I can't see it.
Pukki by all accounts never settled here and probably never will and Balde I just don't think will ever be good enough. Balde had some good qualities but none that I think Ronny would be looking for. -

In regards to our system of play, Pukki's style fits it better than Balde. Doubtful that either will be retained.

By all means keep Griffiths and give Scepovic another chance but we need to buy another striker.
