A thread for fans to suggest possible ways forward to force change at the club.
No doubt there will be repercussions after this utter debacle. But it will be empty tokenism at best. Like the removal of the golf shop manager, or putting Lawwell on paid holiday leave for 16 months.
Boos and banners simply arent going to cut it.
We all know what is needed. A complete a total boycott of everything the board leeches off. But realistically, thats not going to happen. We have a season ticket waiting list, too many happy clappers and apathetic fans, and more importantly, far too many optimists within our ranks who preposterously think things will be better next time.
So ideas or suggestions. Preferably ones that will garner intense media scrutiny on Desmond and his flying monkeys.
It goes without saying that no violence, although tempting, is warranted, nor acts of vandalism against the club itself.
We need something. And quickly. Before we slip further into footballing abyss.
Discuss Its time to force change: Suggestion Thread in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.

In the grand scheme of things I won't make a difference and they certainly will not care, but I am not purchasing anything Celtic related for the foreseeable. Haven't even bought the new shirt yet and now I'm 100% not.
Had plans to go up to the next game and now I will not be attending. Had it up to here with the way we are run.
The board have no ambition, so why the * should I travel 250 miles to watch. * that.johnboy19, saltire78, craigtheceltic and 5 others like this. -

I honestly don't have a clue, been going back and forth thinking about this over the course of the morning.
As previously said this is well past boo's and banners at games now, this is in my eyes a pivotal moment in the clubs history, a case of proceed as is which is quite clearly downsizing and banking all this money (no * valid reason yet to be given for all this banked money) and being just 1 step ahead of them across the city or a full change from top to bottom occurs within the club, from boardroom level, to recruitment, to staff structure, everything has to changed in the way this club operates moving forward.
I think its safe to say that Desmond most likely aint going anywhere, so we can scrub that one from the start, Nicholson will most likely lose his job as CEO that's got to at least happen, McKay probably goes also as CFO, Tisdale probably goes also from his role, whatever the * that is.
Fan power like the COVID season could potentially see Lawell go as Chairman at somepoint during the season.
We need a full clear out, a full new structure implemented but the head of the snake is still there.
Just to think, the person to take us forward, into a new model and structure was in the building in Ange's first summer, and those * ran him out the gaff cause he put their noses out of joint.
Scunnered with all this, but its been long coming and as scunnered and angry as I have been about all this over the course of the summer, its probably good its finally happened + losing the CL money, everyone has taken notice, other clubs, media, majority of the fans, this has now come to a head.
Next important part is what the club come out with in the coming days and what Rodgers comes out with (if he's still here btw) come his press conference after the international break.jake10 likes this. -

Resorting to violence sounds bad, but I believe it is fully justified here.

Starve the income. No merchandise etc. planned walkout during a game.

Fully support the team on and off the park but the board need chased, this is the time to push forward as a collective fan base.Callum McGregor, Sentinel, jake10 and 1 other person like this. -
I know it’s * but being brutally honest, what can be done? They won’t sell their shares and there’s too many fans that will not stop spending on the club as they support it too much and the board take full advantage. If fans boycott matches, they’ve still bought season tickets, it’s clear the board don’t care.
The only way u can imagine a club for the fans, and I mean truly for the fans, would be starting a Celtic fans football club that is fully fan owned from the bottom and works it way up, but I know that is extremely unlikely and isn’t technically the Celtic we know and love.steg likes this. -
Gather as many shares as you can.
There must be a fair few shares by now where the records are out of date due to folk dying etc. -
Block off the club shop on match days. Massive protest at the AGM venue. Inside and out, thousands there. Hounded from the wee car park to the front doors on match days.

Ive not got the new shirt and wont this year, ive even cancelled my Celtic pools i normally come up for 5-6 matches a year i cant be arsed anymore, football under Ange was best ive seen and i crave for that back, thinking back Ange must have stood up to them if he didnt get players and told them he would be off thats why he got what he wanted, Rodgers certainly hasnt got a backbone to call them out

I also won't be buying europa package,(Almaty home game didn't sell out) or spending anything at club shop and like donnycelt I'm not driving a 10 hours round trip, spending £200 with our back of the bus board happy to downgrade our team just to keep huns/old firm relevant.johnboy19, JC Anton, LectersLuncheon and 1 other person like this. -
Sometimes violence is the only option left.

Eventually they’ll just stop turning up at CP when we protest there. What then?
We need to bring that ‘visible presence’ literally as close to home as possible.
But aye, just you stick to your ‘I’m not even going to the play the pools this year’ and see where that gets you. Compliant, complicit and embarrassing.Leone Naka Fan likes this. -

Desmond, Lawwell et al wearing sevco shirts. Plaster it around the ground and everywhere else. Won't change things on it's own but at least it'll make a point.

Gotta vote with your pockets to hurt these * without violence, surely? It's a tall order for some honestly, loads of my lot buy merch all season long but will moan like * about the board.
Stop funding the * is a start at least. -
Yeah this really will come down to money as thats what will hit them the hardest and make them take notice...
- Dont not buy the Europa League Packages
- Dont spend money in the ground or club shop during match days
- Dont buy anything online from the club website
- Cancel the HCTS direct debits
Plus dont think they will enjoy sitting on their comfy seats in the directors box looking at 10-15k fans spread out all over the stadium on live TV.cas79, Jacob knows and DonnyCelt like this. -
We live in London and have young kids and I treat my eldest to a game a season once a year. We buy everything from the store online.
I know it's a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things but I'm not going up this season. I'm not buying anything.
The can go * themselves.packybhoy, cidermaster, johnboy19 and 3 others like this. -
