Our highest earner in club history(apparently),now wgs must have done his homework before splashing out on him????
I personally like him and think he is a must in the upcoming rangers game.
Reason? ive not seen him put in a bad performance against (them).
We have been stuttering along in the last 4 weeks and he hasent had a sniff?
if he has no future here as in the case of virgo, camara? the wgs himself must look himself in the mirror and at the 'super' scouting system he has in place. -

WGS is playing a system at the moment with 2 defensive midfielders. Hartley has had to change his game completely to play the position he has been asked to.
Strachan obviously feels that Tommy G is incapable of playing that role properly. He does charge around and get pulled out of position a lot.
Is the system working?....I don't think so. If WGS played a more forward thinking midfield in a more orthodox 4-4-2 then Tommy G would be more than capable. -
A dinny hink he's gid enough, we i've seen him he seems to be of the pace in scotland

He definitely is good enough, he's quite exeded my expectations, scored more than I thought he would. Anyway, I realy don't understand why we have to play with 2 defensive midfielders against pish sides as Motherwell. Our passing is dreadful because of this and the supply for the strikers is inexistent. I'd try out a Gravesen - Hartley midfield, and let hartley have his way, that meaning let him be more offensive. I can hardly see this happening though, Gordon's a stubborn man and he won't change his lineup much I think.

I think he is exactly what we need at the moment tbh.I know he wanders but he's dynamic, full of vim and vigour, enthusiasm, possesses a goal danger in spades, and i think makes the lads around him play with a bit more urgency and i don't mean that in a negative way.
Yesterday i thought Hartley must have owed Lennon money they were never more than 10 yards away from each other. They offerred nothing going forward yesterday and spent most of the game as far as i could see playing square passes to each other.Static as *.It was Motherwell at home ffs no need for 2 sitting midfielders.Christ it was like 4 central defenders at times.
It got me down yesterday seeing a lad clearly desperate to play warmin up for an hour and not getting a look in. -
Hes an excellent player and its baffling how he has fallen behind sno, hartley, lennon for a first team start.
-
I was at the game yesterday for the first time in over a year and tbh, i now know what people mean when they complain about our central midfield. Lennon and Hartley we're so bland yesterday i felt like crying. Then you see Tommy G warming up full of character and you think that's the type of player we need in there. It's * sickening -

Also, why do Celtic try to walk the wall into the net? The only players taking digs from a distance are Gravensen, McGeady and Riordan!

We do not not to adopt a more defensive style of play in the spl against teams like motherwell. Our attack is good enough (with JVoH and Riordan upfront and playing Tommy G) to penetrate any defence in this league. It's simple. Score more goals than the opposition (too simple lol). Fair enough in europe we need to adopt a more defensive approach, but it is not needed in the SPL.

Grav's a good player. WGS shud play him from the start in midfield with Deek. Wish he'd try more things he's just playing the same players at the same positions the whole time.
-
The problem is he wont drop Neil Lennon. Dont ask me why... another problem strachan seems to persist with is playing craig beattie. Imagine letting gravesen warm up for an hour and not putting him on.
Gravesen did more running in his warm up than Neil Lennon did the whole * game... -

lets face it, i dont really think stachan has the baws to drop lenny at this stage in the season, i think the fact celtic are looking at sidwell just tells u all u need to know about tommy g's future at celtic park

Would also like to see tommy more on the pitch than off it. give him some time, he could be the "solution" to be honest.

You dont move to real madrid unless you have qualities,im fuc*ing ashamed of the way he is being treated, its looks awfully like hes being pushed out the door...unless hes been a bad boy (i.e undermiming the boss or summat). But the problems that ive seen in the last 4 weeks...in my mind... would be sorted by his inclusion FFS look what happened when he came on against milan.
deek solved a problem on saturday..aye he **n scored!!!.....but all us wannabe managers saw it for months!.
Get gravesen ready and playing this weekend as i really feel that he will be the difference in the up and coming old firm match!.....
I dont want the orcs coming outta the doldrum hole...lets show them that they are 5 years behind us a wattie boy said! and not let him use that as feelgood propaganda as o'neill did when he arrived! remember?? they are the benchmark!
