    Us and Palace are apparently in a race to sign Hickey.

    Hearts want £1.5m however we are unwilling to pay that much. Regardless of the outcome we are due a 30% sell on fee (must have been agreed when he left our academy).

    He's a Tim so would want to come..

    I like him but he's been thrown in and played too many first team game's for a kid. He isn't ready and it's shown for me. Specky nonce strikes again..

    Still think he's gonna be a very good player in a few year's..

    No chance we're buying him though I don't think. If anything we need a proper quality left back and he'd be no better than what we've got...right now..

    Will be a better left back than Taylor in a few year's..

    Good player but not ready yet which is a problem if you are spending £1.5m on him as he can only sign a three year deal because of his age.

    Excellent prospect, remember him totally owning Jamesy in one of his first games.

    Should sign him and maybe keep Taylor, but personally I'd sell both him and Boli.

    Don't see how he can be considered as bad as people are saying considering the amount of senior football he has played at 17. Buy him for 500,000k and offer connell and bayo on loan till end of season to sweeten deal and loan hickey back to hearts till season end too. They are desperate to survive. Then decide in summer who to sell and hold onto with regard boli/ Taylor.

    i think he's worth considering, he has a great attitude and potential. He's had a few off games, especially against the huns this season, but what 17 year old in consistent.

    Just looked it up , only thing I could find was 2014. Anyway you are prob right 1 loan player between teams in same.division , two for teams and in different leagues.

    I'd buy him and go down the foreign route of immediately sending him out on loan for a few years and keep him playing games and let him develop playing first team football.

    That's one thing we don't work well enough is getting our youth players out on loan at a decent level.

    I like him, and with our current situation at LB he has every chance of making a name for himself here. I think one of Bolingoli/Taylor will be gone in the summer, send Hickey out on loan for 6 months and then see how he is in the summer.

    He’s only 17, marked Forrest out the final, decent experience already for his age, he’s worth the money for his potential.
