Agreed. If you exclude the games that he scored any of his 8 goals or 11 assists in this season, he's been pretty ineffective.

30% sell on fee to us, so if they want 1.5mill we can get him for 1 mill? I think he has potential to be much better than boli or taylor.

He’s consistently one of our best performers in Europe and has been since Lennons first term as manager.

Seen him a few times and didn’t look anything special, I know he’s still young but we’ve plenty full backs just now.

He was poor and did hide last game but that's not every game.

He scored the winner against them at the end of last season and Halliday still has nightmares about Forrest dancing by him when we won the league the season before.

Scored a belter away at Lazio as well, but I would rather have had Elyounoussi in against the currant buns than Jamesy. With hindsight of course.

Regardless, he is regularly one of our worst players against them.

Unusual for you to take an opposing view and be wrong.

Take a wee look at his record against them and then come back to us.

Aye John, 100% John. Jamesy Forrest is overrated and easily taken out of a game. Don't know why we persist with him. Apart from his assists and goals what does he bring to the game?

He’s scored twice against them, Paul. Some record.

He has had more * games against them, aye. But to say he goes missing in big games is just not true.

6 assists and despite being here forever has only ever lost 3 games against them.

What a team we must be, pumping the Huns constantly with a shitebag at right wing.

For half that time they’ve been so bad that he hasn’t had to play well.

Now he does have to and his performances in the last two games against them have been among the worst I’ve seen from a Celtic player against them. Hiding and offering a young boy, Frimpong, absolutely nothing. Shameful.

They recognise him for the danger he is and regularly mark him out the game which in turn should create extra space for the rest of the team to exploit.

It's also important to remember that up until this season he's played in front of an ageing Lustig that didn't make overlapping runs that in turn created extra space for him. If you contrast that to how Tierney and Sinclair dovetailed in 2016/17 against the huns, it's certainly part of the equation.

There's no defending his performance on the 29th but it's nonsense to suggest he never plays well against them, as some are doing.

His league performance in December was one of the worst single performances I’ve seen from a Celtic player in literally years and years. Anyone who says otherwise is talking bollocks.

However, that isn’t a catalyst to then just fabricate nonsense. He has played very well against the manks numerous times and will again. Calling him a shitebag every time he plays them is a lie.

Forrest regularly turns up in the big games in Europe, there's no doubting that.

But his general performances against the huns in his 10 years as a first team player have been way below par when compared to his usual displays against everyone else. Can't be denied.

Two goals against them when they had absolute diddies in their team for quite a large chunk of that time is a poor return.
