As the title says are you guys for it or against it,me personally I cannot * stand it,I can never recall apart from the odd time in Europe another Celtic manager using it constantly especially domestically

Everyone seems to play it these days but I'm not a fan....unless you've got adequate support from midfield.
Playing at home two up front just has to be..at least in the SPL -

It can work well when we're * throttle, first half hour at fir park an example, high pressing, fast tempo , intricate football and plenty of chances..
Europe is a must for us with 1 up as more often than not we'd get mullered but definitely under this new/adapting philosophy..
I do like 2 up domestically more often than not though, domestically teams can't live with the pressure of 2 decent strikers pulling them all over the place and there attacking threat to us goes out the window.. -

I agree playing 1 up front in our league is shocking management imo, Europe yes SPL not on your life, i'd also say Deila's so called system is pish, its easy to figure us out as well , stokes plays it outside to izzy who half the time doesnt look up just hits it into the middle and hopes, absolutely no guile in the way we play its murder to watch
-
It's probably ok if you have * like Neymar, Robben, Ronaldo, etc playing on the wings but not for us, no.
-
-
It * sucks.
-
We have become so predictable. Wee Jackie would tell u the same thing. He didn't have to do much to adapt his tactics yesterday
-
Stinks of *. 2 up front please.

I am hoping he might adapt his system to the team we are playing and to whatever situation we are in. We have become too predictable.

Aye , I do like one up front if you have the right players, as others here have said. Not now, not for this squad, Scepovic / Griffiths or JG/Stokes combo for the 2.
* diamond would be nice to see as well. Anyway, * it JG needs a rest either way, surely Griffiths has to get a start man.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 22, 2014 -
Basically 3 forwards but with only one designated central striker. I quite enjoy watching us playing that system as long as the striker isn't left isolated and we don't become to predictable against better teams.

I appreciate Ronnie wants the player's to get use to to the 4-2-3-1 system for Europe but he needs to have a different style and approach at home at lest for now until he has the right players who can play his system properly

2 up top in the league, we'll find it a * of a lot easier in the league!
-
The same is true in real life. -
-
You cannot play your preferred system if u don't have that type of player. U adapt the system to the players you can choose from. I feel this is were Ronny is going wrong.

Name me 1 successful side in Europe right now deploying 2 out and out strikers.
There aren't many and there's a reason for it. You succeed in Europe by winning the midfield battle, you win the midfield battle by having numbers there, you have numbers there because you only play 1 striker.
It's a proven modern method to succeed and I applaud Deila for going with it. When we have the right players it will work a lot better. -
I do like the 4-2-3-1 with celtic on fifa .
but right now in real life no we don't have good enough attacking midfield to do it right. Stokes johansen Forrest isnt good enough for playing 1 striker. if we improved that then we could successfully play 1 upfront but until we get a left winger suited for 4-2-3-1 and a player that a mix of johansen/commons,we should be playing 2 up top.
