  2. ZURAWSKI PRESENTATION

hi i'm form poland and i'm new user in this forum i have a question anone have a photo-s forom zurawski presentation ?

  3. I don't know if there was any presentation as such. Celtic's official site is poor enough at the best of times, but terrible just now. I don't think it's even reported on Ulrik Laursen's departure. So, in short, I haven't heard about any presentation, there's nothing on the Official Site, and I haven't heard anyone say what number he'll wear. Bit strange when you consider the number of folks who would want to buy a shirt with his name on it.

This article is in today's Evening Times.

Zurawski wants to make his own name in front of new fans

THE name may be hard to pronounce, but new Celtic striker Maciej Zurawski would rather you made the effort than lumbered him with some other title.
Especially if that happened to be the new Henrik Larsson - or, worse, the poor man's Craig Bellamy.
Zurawski - that's pronounced Zoo-rof-ski, with his first name Ma-check - has limited English, something he plans to work on quickly as he aims to become as fluent at speaking as he is at scoring goals.
But his command of the language is sufficient to let him understand that Larsson and Bellamy connections have already been made.
New Celt he may be, but green he is not, and the 28-year-old can already see the danger signs of such associations.
Sure, he is here to score goals. And yes, terrific pace is a key element in the kit bag he lugged to London today to meet up with his new team-mates at their Bisham Abbey training camp.
But Zurawski is determined to make a name for himself - his own.
And while he is a huge admirer of Larsson, and knows all about how popular Bellamy became to the club's fans during his short loan spell last season, they are both history.
Zurawski wants to be the future.
As he prepared for his first sessions working under new manager Gordon Strachan, Zurawski said: "For now, I can't compare to such a magnificent player as Henrik Larsson.
"But I promise I'll play for Celtic the best I can, and I want to score as many goals for them as it is possible to get."
Zurawski's record of 27 for Wisla Krakow last season is the reason Strachan believes he can be a real success in the side he is building for Celtic.
And the Parkhead boss wants everyone to know the Polish hitman was no second best, denying his transfer was only completed because Bellamy decided to reject the offer to sign on at Parkhead.
Zurawski is equally adamant Bellamy's decision to join Blackburn had no bearing on his move to Celtic.
The completion of the Pole's long-drawn-out transfer just a matter of hours after the Welshman plumped for Rovers was entirely down to the man from Krakow.
He explained: "I can assure you my deal did not depend on their negotiations with Craig Bellamy.
"It had no influence. I was the one who needed time to analyse Celtic's proposal."
During this period of contemplation, Zurawski confirmed Besiktas did attempt to hijack the £2m Celtic deal and take him to Turkey instead.
But the striker has waited a long time to get his big move, and was 100% convinced it should be to Parkhead, so declined Besiktas's 11th-hour offer.
He said: "Besiktas came and made an official offer. But in the end, the Turks were not concrete and Celtic were.
"Since the beginning of my negotiations with Celtic they were sure they wanted to take me to Glasgow. They made the negotiations very professional."
The Pole continued: "There has been talk of me moving for a long time and there have been a lot of offers from clubs.
"I was a bit nervous about it all. But now I'm happy it has ended in such a positive way. It's a great club and we will be playing for high targets."
It may all be new to Zurawski, but he is already focused on what he wants to achieve.
Unlike some of the players who are linked with moves to Parkhead, he is not here just to pick up some extra cash.
Sure, that wage rise is nice, but picking up medals and experience of playing in Europe's top competition is his real reward.
He said: "I want to play at a high level - and to win. I have always wanted to play in the Champions League, now I have this chance with Celtic.
"I can't wait to get started, and I know I don't have lot of time to hit good form.
"On July 27 we're going to play our first competitive game in the Champions League qualifying round.
"That's not far away. But that's good. I'm ready for a new challenge and joining Celtic is that challenge for me."

  4. Thats why I think he shouldnt get 7. He doesnt want to be another Larsson or Bellamy, he wants to be still Żurawski with number 15 for example. I like 15! And he is right that comparing to this players is dangerous becouse dissapointment may be very painfull but I hope he will be as great as he was in Poland.

  5. What about the new Dziekanowski?

Nah I just hope he can produce the goods and be our Magic Man this season.

I'm concerned that he doesn't want be "another Larsson". If he has said this I'm a bit worried as if he doesn't believe in his ability to be a great player then why should anyone else?

  6. would if big chris would give him his number lol

  7. No. 9 is a quality number. It would also ruin his DVD!

  8. I think you've completely missed the point, mate. "Not being another Larsson" means he doesn't want to be compared with Henrik over and over but wants to make his very own mark.

  9. oh *... u gonna buy another polish player :)
    http://sport.onet.pl/1128963,wiadomosci.html

according to BBC Southampton refused your offerd for Antti Niemi so u want to sign well known BORUC :D. It is possible that he sign today

if it will be truth Celtic could become the most favourite scottish club in Poland
    hail hail
