Zaluska for Number 1!!

I think what he needs is a settled defense playing well in front of him and 10 or 12 back to back games as no. 1. Then I think we can judge the guy. A bad defense can really spook a goalie and wreck their confidence and last time Zaluska was no. 1 our defense was a shambles. He needs to get his confidence back by playing every game IMO.

 

Zaluska isnt good enough for us. He has had ample opportunity to claim the number one position for his own. In Mowbrays season when he had a good run he was involved in some disastrous results, including the debacle that was Ross County.

After last night I would be more confident with Packy Bonnar between the sticks. Seriously.

Our squad is not as great as some are making out. It wasnt good enough to win the title last season and we are now going into our third game of the season without two key players who helped us have the best defence in the league. Izzy and Forster.

Forster isnt coming back and Izzy is out till Xmas at least.

Neil needs to get a keeper in pronto. He obviously wants one so this talk of Zaluska as No1 is a waste of time.

He also needs to sort the defence out, I dont think we need a left back. We can play Mark Wilson there and slot Cha back into RB.

We do need another striker as well.

 

I personally think Zaluska is good enough for first choice goalie but I cant believe the stick he gets from some fans, he deserves a chance as hes already had a few clean sheets so far this season and hopefully Lenny keeps him in the sticks for the time being. Also if we were to sign a new goalkeeper (Sandomierski) then he should be forced to wait until Zaluska does something wrong because quite frankly I don't see what he has done wrong so far (in competitive games).

He is capable, but we still need a new keeper.

He should be given a chance and stay as no1 till we find someone who isnt a replacement but a better keeper.Theres no point in signing anyone to replace him he will have to be better than what we have so thats why I think Forster is a no go.

Lukasz Zaluska was named MOTM today and for me he was terrific today, that save from Rankin was World class.

 

If terrific means looking dodgy as * any time a cross came in and charging out of goal at random intervals for no apparent reason then yes, he really was.

 

Thought he was poor today - shakey. Flapped at a few crosses, fumbled, came out when he shouldn't have been out... but one hollywood save.

Celtic need a safe pair of hands in goals - not a liability with the odd world class save. Was kind of the ultimate downfall of Boruc but Zaluska isn't in his class.

 

I think if I had to play in goal with bombscare Majstorovic in front of me I would be nervous too. Zaluska was solid today and MOTM. You can't complain about that without sounding churlish IMO.

 

Well Forster played with far more confidence than Zaluska even with that 'bombscare' in front of him. Laughable decision to give him MOTM and you know it.

He made 3 good saves but for the rest of the match he fumbled the ball, had awful positioning. I want Gordon.

made some excellent saves today.

 

Think it's crazy to say he was poor today. He made some great saves. That said, I would still prefer someone else, but he's a great guy for insurance.
