Did McStay not leave under a bit of a cloud? A fallout with Lennon or something?

Tierney broke his leg and denny johnstone, atajic left with probably more and the likes of henderson and fisher are with the seniors so most of our under 20's are 16/17 are they not?

Just making an excuse for them here..

Poor coaching played a big part in the likes of young Johnstone leaving, and hes not the only striker to have left, Recently spoke to someone at Celtic about the lack of strikers, I was told that they have had 5 young strikers in over the last few months all from abroad, not one of them was worth signing apparently. Young Mullan is a winger not a CF, they had a some good young strikers last season in the 19's and let them all go apart from one who also asked to leave due to lack of game time, thnk they have realised they jumped the gun in letting so many of that squad go, remember they were basically an U17s team who played up at U19's and won the treble....remember watching the 19's league cup final Celtic's first goal was an outstanding diving header...wheres that lad now ?

Is a strange one, denny johnstone even had any game any time at Birmingham? That was why he rejected the new contract here as we did rate him well(supposedly)..
Having just one young striker on the books is a strange one, especially when he looks like a tailor made wingers (mcmullan)..

You on about Lewis kidd ? Went to queen of the south..

At cowdenbeath on loan, not sure if it was 6 month and he's due back, if that's the case he's probably on another 6 month loan joining Jackson Irvine up at dingwall..

heard Dundee utd wanted Denny but, Celtic wanted a £100,000 for him so the deal fell through, then when Alan Thompson went to Birmingham as a coach he recommended Denny to them, think the big mans been unfortunate with injury since his move. what happened to the team that won the nike tourney then as u17's playing up won the 19's treble last season...surely there's something worth working with in that squad ?

Johnstone was involved with their first team squads at the start of the season in the Championship and made a couple of substitute appearances but then they changed their manager and he fell out of the reckoning I think, they loaned him to Macclesfield in the Conference in November.

Stephen Frail has done a great job with the Celtic development team and we are very lucky to have him there, as he would make a fine first team manager himself, I remember when he was acting manager with Hearts for a bit and he did well there too.
