He's 18.. Hardly going to be mr.consistency at that age is he? Not many people at that age feature regularly for a club as big as Celtic. Give him a break.

    I'm not slagging him for * sake.:smiley-laughing002:

You said he's been impressive whenever he's played and I just pointed out that he hasn't. Of course he isn't going to be consistent at his age, I'm just saying I don't think he'll be a great player, got a bad feeling he'll be another McGeouch.

    Hope I'm wrong.

Competition is good, he's strong, has a good touch, can pick a pass(lovely little clipped ball for JG v Inter) scored a couple as well.

And a good feet on the ground attitude for one so young.

There is more to suggest he has everything in his locker to make it, just because he has not nailed down a regular position is no reason to write him off.

Been impressive for his age is what I meant really, wouldn't say he's been amazing but in some games he's shown quality, you won't get many people putting performances in like that at 17/18.

Not saying you're slagging him but I'm not sure what sort of quality you're expecting out of an 18 year old that's played every now and then for us? He hasn't been given a run of games either which makes it even more difficult to get any consistency.

Just think you're judging him very harshly saying he won't come to much. There is definitely potential there for him to be a good player for us.

Henderson is one of the best players to come out of our youth academy for a long time. He'll make it here.

Henderson looks good, hopefully we can bring him on properly. We seem to have made an * of bringing players through in recent years, even Forrest has gone to *.

Good tricky, fast little player and his scoring record speaks for itself. That said, I'm not sure he'll make it here..

Could be wrong, can see him in the spfl somewhere else at some point..

Who's the best youth player we've brought through in the last 5-7 years (not including Hendo)? Can only think of Watt, O'Dea and McGowan that made any sort of impact and I'm pushing it with the latter..

He left Celtic in 2006 before Lennon re-signed him in 2010. I suppose you could count him in a roundabout way :icon_mrgreen:

Well, McGeady and Maloney both played for us within the last 5-7 years.

Aye but they both made their first team debuts well before then and were established players 7 years ago. I'm meaning players who've broke through in that time.

If you're discounting McGeady then you have to discount McGowan and O'Dea aswell.

You've placed a bit of a random parameter on suggestions 5 to 7 years :56:

Did McGowan no make his debut in 08?

Anyway, basically only Watt and Forrest* have made any real impact in recent years. * return from our youth academy.

    *Forgot to mention him haha
