Reacting to the title triumph, Academy Manager Tommy McIntyre said: "Feels great, manner in how we won the league is incredible."

TM: 'Winning is something you want to get used to at a club like #Celtic. Learn a lot of good habits by doing that.'

TM: 'To win the league without losing a game is incredible.'

TM: 'Predominantly, we've had a young back-four throughout the season and only lost 11 goals in 25 games.'

TM: 'Not just the back-four, as a team we have defended really well. They have worked really hard.' #Champions

TM: 'It was a young team tonight. In the past we have had one or two experienced players, who they have learned from.'

TM: 'But it's good to see the young ones playing together and how they adapted to the challenge of a very strong St Johnstone team.'

TM: 'The goals tonight were outstanding. They deserved it because they have worked so hard throughout the season.' #Champions

TM: 'We want to make sure they develop & grow. Biggest prize for them is progression in performance & trying to get to the next level.'

The stats are terrific. It's not about the results but unbeaten and only conceding 11 goals, tells us the story..

    Superb domination..

If we give Lennoxtown a chance I have no doubts it will pay off. We're a special team in terms of our young players will play for Celtic and not for themselves, it would be an absolute joy to bring through Celtic fans continuously.

Surely there has to be at least a few from a squad that is unbeaten all season.

    You'd like to think so.

Aidan Nesbitt seems to be the next one.

From what I understand there is a decent handful of players that have bags of talent, wether they make the step up is another matter; but we have plenty talent in the youths, without a doubt, and it's great. :celt_2:

If watching their mate go from a broken leg at 17 to the first teams first choice left back and playing against Denmark at Hampden and the likes of Ajax in the Europa doesn't inspire them to push on then nothing will.

There will be others in that group with similar ability to Tierney, it's his attitude and application which has took him so far so quickly.

DEVELOPMENT Squad captain Fiacre Kelleher says the camaraderie and togetherness among the players was an important element in clinching the league title with an unbeaten record.
The young Celts got across the finishing line with seven games to spare last night after they overcame St Johnstone 2-0 at Cappielow.
The Perth side had been the only team to have inflicted a domestic defeat on the Bhoys this season back in January when they triumphed 2-1 the Youth Cup fourth round.
Once again they offered fierce resistance, but Tommy McIntyre’s team were not to be denied on this occasion as late goals from Theo Archibald and Joe Thomson and secured the three points necessary to claim the championship.
And the Irish defender told the official website that it was a special moment for him and the rest of squad.
He said: “It feels great. It’s one of the best experiences I have had since coming here. It’s the second league I have won here and it’s a lot sweeter.
“It was a very tough game. We knew they were a good side from playing them in the youth cup and we managed to get a bit of redemption from that. We have good fitness and we kept working hard and eventually we got the goals.
“The unbeaten run has been brilliant and has driven us on in the second half of the season and is something for us to hold onto. Going unbeaten in the season is something we want to achieve. We will celebrate properly when the season is over.
“Having a consistent starting XI has been really good. Some of the first-team players have come down a couple of times but that’s normal and core of the team has always been the same, so we have got used to one another and that’s helped us a lot
“As a group, everyone is really pally and there is good banter among the boys so that definitely helps on the pitch as well.
“When we need to dig in, we are all there for each other and it’s a great thing to have in a team. If you want to be champions you need to have that in tough games like we had last night.
“We all want to make it to the first team but you need to strive for small targets and winning the league is one of them, and winning is one of the main parts of being a Celtic player.”

    Couldn't agree more..

The difference with Watt and McMullan is, McMullan from what I've seen of him a few time's this year, is a bit of a shitebag, post's missing in game's and doesn't seem to be giving 100%. The opposite of Watt, who gives 100% on the pitch but must be a nightmare off it..
