Your Wildlife Sightings!

I was on my way back from the store on the highway and all of a sudden the traffic on both sides came to a halt because a huge * Moose decided it wanted to cross the road, if you live anywhere near them you would know that when it comes to a Moose vs a Car, the car always loses, I couldn't get a picture but for some perspective,

 

Great shot *, an ex workmate of mines son was out working in Canada a few years back, he was on his way to the site one morning on his motorbike when one of these giants stepped out of the woodland in front of him, you can imagine the outcome of that carnage.

 

Well its not mine I had my phone on the dashboard cause I was in the middle of a call, but I found one of a moose of the same size , but seriously they are scary animals they can go from friendly to dangerous in an instant

What a Fantastic day Good Friend, and yes Great Northern Divers are indeed fine birds, not seen one for a wee while myself, so i am not jealous honestly

I was delighted to get good views of my first actual seen Cuckoo on my local patch this morning

PS As i am Cuckoo i asked the Cuckoo what today's score will be, 6-1 to us and he said Ange will stay

Great photos ,,, just a quicky have you seen any hedgehogs on your travels ??

250k hedgehogs were killed last year due to the countryside being ripped up for building .

 

I stay in Glasgow mate, so I've never seen a hedgehog in this city. I've seen one in my life and that was when I was about 9/10 on a family holiday to Rothsay. Many years ago

 

A cool Red Kite flew over my local patch this morning cheering up a somewhat * Monday for obvious reasons

 

A few from the weekend at Loch Colgagh, i spent three very early mornings at the loch, it was absolutely beautiful there just as the sun was peeping from behind the hill to the back of where i sit, there is a bit more life around now,
there's a couple of Mallard families with plenty of Ducklings to see, i went a bit snap happy and took nearly 1,500 shots over the three mornings but i promise i won't post them all , these are a wee selection of the shots that i think came out half decent.
