Tailspot Blenny has the best seat in the house. Toadstool coral happy to accommodate the fish as it will pick off algae and waste from its surface

We and Ruby are all set for a proper Snowdonia Mountain slog via a cool Wooded Valley on Tuesday with a very early start, a whole list of targets with Dotterel the top one.

Never seen a dotterel before, you need to climb really high and get lucky to see one of them, not many of them about these days it seems. But I have seen a Merlin before.:lingua:

I have been lucky enough to see plenty of Dotterel over the years Cool Bhoy, i am lucky as they stop off in useful numbers every spring on the tops of Snowdonia on Migration near within good striking distance from where I live, usually found 3000 foot above sea level which keeps you fit:84:
I have also been lucky to see them on their breeding range in the Highlands as well back in the day, as they breed there and in Scandinavia their stronghold. Such handsome birds and quite tame, the Females being much brighter than the males, very rare for bird species:50:

Mine and Ruby's Mountain walk has been put on hold until the near future but on my local patch this morning i was delighted to get good views of a very handsome Singing Male Redstart , this has already made my day, Ruby Roo was wagging with glee seeing Dadda's beaming smile:36:

Also 5 Wheatears and a Tree Pipit passed through as did a Redpoll. Oh also on my local patch on Saturday i had my first Cuckoo of the year calling and the day before a reeling Grasshopper Warbler was well received, so Spring is coming alive. Oh and a loan Fieldfare passed through yesterday as well.:84:

The ever so handsome Redstart is still singing in my local Woods, so hopefully he will find a mate, he is trying his heart out bless him, i showed him to my nephew as we battled to eventually get really good lengthy views, his first good views of cool bird. We also saw a female Kestrel and a Mother Fox with her 4 wee cubs, so not a bad morning, Ruby and her cousin the Lurcher Basil had a great time.:49::84:

Oh yesterday afternoon i saw a pair of Sparrowhawks , the difference in the size of the male and female is amazing, i also saw 2 Female Sparrowhawks this morning as well.

A few from the weekend at Balisodare, i found a way down to the fore shore at the estuary, i've previously only been able to take shots from the car park which is around 15 feet higher than the shore line, it's a great spot but i have to wait till the tide is on it's way out before i can access it, i think there will be plenty of visits to this wee corner.

candy cane coral with feeding tentacles extended after some oyster eggs. If you notice the head in centre frame has two mouths, meaning it’s well on its way to splitting and becoming a separate independent organism of the same species. The Ultra Green fluorescent colour in these indicate they live in shallow waters using fluorescent proteins as a kind of sun block.
