I don't know if you're near Glasgow's East End Susan, but Hogganfield Loch can be a great spot for Widgeon. If oyu're lucky , they come quite close to the edge of the water. You can get some great pics Susan

A few from the weekend around Kellystown, I went out on Friday afternoon to see if there was much around the bay, there was a great variety of birds around, and as the tide was on the way out they were too busy feeding to notice me there.

Some good news, in my local area I have noticed a healthy increase in both Song Thrush and Greenfinch:36: Both species have been struggling in many areas and also another struggler the House Sparrow, they are still doing very well in my local area and long long long may it continue.

Funnily enough good friend, I was recently discussing with my daughter that we've not seen a Greenfinch for a while now. It's quite worrying. On the other hand, House Sparrows are thriving here in sunny Dalmarnock. I've got a few big bushes close to my home, and in both my back and front gardens. In the Spring, it's superb to watch the fledgling birds feeding. Not long to go now. Always look forward to it.

Yes Spring is Fantastic, my favourite Season, the Dawn Chorus, amazing Dawns and Dusks, winter birds still around and moving on in early Spring as the first Summer Visitors arrive and start to build up and of course, not too hot, plenty of cool Bright Weather Days:50:

Yes Spring is nearly here, just pretend Good Friend there is no such thing as Butterflies:84:

I like Spring but Winter is my favourite season. I'm weird good friend, I like the cold. But Spring is exciting. Watching for migrants, watching fledglings, nature bursting back to life, even if that does mean moths and butterflies.

In the last two weeks, I´ve seen a fox a couple of times walking around in the village where I live.
Beautiful creatures that they are, it´s not a welcome sight.
Being a cat owner myself, it´s a bit worrying.

Foxes are normally quite shy, so I think maybe it is unwell.

Loads of widgeon where I am Susan. They're colourful and all hang together. Was just commenting on it yesterday. The mallards, mergansers, shelducks and widgeon are all pairing off.

Do not worry Cool Bhoy it is Very Rare for Foxes to attack a Cat, they live side by side in countless Urban and Rural Settings.

I'm enjoying all of yours right now. I look in from time to time. Once the weathers a wee bit warmer I will get out and about. Half the time it's blowing a hooley here and the weather gets a wee bit extreme for holding a camera.
