A great place to see Reed Bunting is Hogganfield Loch Susan. A patch away up the back there's a wee pond and a lot of reeds, so brilliant for Reed Bunting. If you're lucky, you might see a Reed Warbler in amongst the Reeds. I've been lucky just once, but it was a great spot.

I have noticed that there has been a massive increase in cannibalism amongst the birds in my area. The pigeons are constantly being attacked by the other birds (especially the seagulls) and then eaten. It's fascinating to watch them at times as they seem to work in organised groups, targeting either the weakest one or the youngest ones. I'm amazed at the stupidity of the pigeons who obviously see these attacks on them but just sit there and don't either fly away or choose to nest in the same place year after year. It maybe has gone on for years and I've just never noticed however, it's practically a daily occurrence now and I don't know why. Maybe some of the members on here who obviously know a bit about nature have a better idea

They are different Species of Birds of course and just like different Species of many a Living Creature for various reasons will take prey in their own section of Nature.Gulls are true Masters of finding many a way to a Food Source in countless ways:50:

Nice walk down there and through the woods. Best bit is you end up at a pub.

Thanks for the info Cidermaster. Yeh, the gulls are definitely the biggest perpetrators with the crows not far behind them

This is Colin the Wood Pigeon that visits my garden everyday. I think he has a Pen Pal with one of Scotia’s Pigeons:84:

@bagforlife It was, I was out for a bit of a wander earlier and the sky was amazing. The camera on my phone doesn't capture the colours very well but it was some sight.
