    It was a soft penalty but the Aussie was asking for it with his challenge.

    After the refereeing against Italy in the 2002 World Cup it was just right for things to even themselves out

    All about favourites, I guess, but Jaap Stam was a far better defender than Ferdinand, in my opinion.

    Better but I wouldnt say far better I think Ferdinand was better than Vidic too though.

    From 2005-2009 Ferdinand was one the best defenders in the world for me, quick, good reading of the game and calm on the ball was a very slick defender. Probably the closest ive seen to Nesta style.

    The past year though Ferdinands went well down hill, now he doesnt have any pace he's like Davie Weir, stiff, easily turned cant recover and for some reason he gives the ball away all the time now - maybe a bit panicky since he realises he doesnt have it any more, leading to rushed passing.

    Aye i loved him and was gutted when he was sold , so many good players left out very hard to just pick that side could have easily made 2 or 3 sides . Rio and Vidic take it for me as they are so good together and both for me have been one of the best centre back partnerships in football .

    Went with players I've enjoyed watching the most.

    Was really difficult to leave out Iniesta , Scholes , Ronaldinho , Del Piero , Henry & Bergkamp.

    Bobo was one of my favourite ever Celts to watch. Seeing him just dominate anybody and everybody was something else. Cant mind anybody ever getting the better of him strength wise. Larsson was my favourite ever to watch completely, and the only guy that even comes close was Ronaldo, who was * frightening at his best and just incredible to watch.

    Can't pick one. Some positions have nobody that stands out whereas up front I have to choose between Fat Ronaldo, Zlatan, Kluivert, Van Nistelrooy, Del Piero and Balotelli. Only midfieler I really like is Pirlo.
