i feel sorry for the wee lass, the parents and all conected. however just because i feel sorry for the parents doesnt mean i dont think they shouldnt be punished within the law. if i left a kid of that age in a room and she broke her arm or back or something of that nature i would be in big trouble.

i think the little girl unfortuinitly was targeted and would have went missing at some point during that holiday regardless!

Had they not of been doctors or whatever upperclass job they held, then they would have faced more charges i think.

It was their fault, they have to live with that.

I feel sorry for them yes,no parent should have to lose a child.

i feel sorry for them if there story is true......

hope they find the wee lassie, but tbh the minute it started spreading like wildfire they would have killed her imo.dirty scummy * the lot of them.paedos should be shot on first offence.they'll never stop so * do away wae them.

on that argument alsy......if they weren't doctors(a good profession) but unemployed then would THEY have been carged?cos we all know the better your job the better you get treated by police, courts etc

aye it was a mistake they made...havent they been punished enough losing their wee lassie??... without our criticism??..there life must feel as good as over!

and from other folks on this thread there is i feel a bit of reverse snobbery cos they where upper/middle class doctors....well remember gerry made good himself i know this cos he was at my school though a good time before me...& we should be backing one of our own too...but to be honest id feel sympathy for them even if they where huns & from me that is really saying something :50:

I think the fact that they were both white, middle-class and high up on the social ladder (i.e doctors), this got even MORE exposure.

I doubt that the same exposure would have been gotten if it was a working-class black family unfortunately.

i think the fact they are practising catholics led to the papers printing a load of bullshit about them tbh.when they were originally suspects and blood was supposedly found etc.all these theories about her having an accident and her parents disposing of her body:97:i think sometimes mud sticks to an extent, and a lot of people formed a negative viewpoint of the mccanns early on.all i see is a pair of greiving parents who will have to live with the worst mistake they will ever make for the rest of their lives, they * up big time,no doubt, but i cant help but feel sorry for them and the wee girl and their other two kids who will never be the same again

obviously i feel sorry for any parent that has lost a child, whether it be to death or kidnap. but tbh, its their own fault, they shouldnt have left their kids in an empty apartment just for one dinner for two, they signed up for not having dinner for two when they became parents.

think she has been dead for a long time now. but have to admire how they just wont give up.

on another note, they shouldve been punished for neglect or something. only got away with it because they have decent jobs etc.

i cant believe anyone on here DOESNT feel sorry for the McCanns!

    they lost they're baby FFS!

no matter the circumstances, or what people think, the fact they lost that poor wee girl is all that counts!

i feel very very very sorry for them and pray one day there can be a positive outcome to the situation!
