YOU Can Only Support 1TEAM!!!!!!

Discussion in 'TalkCeltic Pub' started by -LiAMo-, May 19, 2008.

  1. Celtic First and formost.
Otherwise, i guess i support Queensland Roar... and like to see Everton do well. I could never honestly say i supported them though.

  2. They're not the nicest bunch either.

  3. I can understand why a lot of the Irish fellas follow the premiership closely. It's not like Celtic are brimming over with boys from over the sea just now, whereas a lot of the top teams in the EPL have Irish internationals in the first team. I started taking an interest in Everton doing well, because they used to have a fair few Scots in their numbers (even if a lot of them were ex-huns). I wouldn't go so far as to buy a top and start calling myself an Everton supporter though.

  4. Alright mate. I used to share a flat a few years ago with a boy who played for Institute. He was the captain of their under-21s team and played in their first a few times. Unfortunately he was also a raving hun. His name is Ian Donaghey and he is/was a phenomenal player in kickarounds. Was just wondering if you ever heard of him playing for Institute? Would've been 6/7 years ago when he 19, or there abouts.

  5. Just the 1 team for me and i hope man u rip * right out of chelsea the night

  6. i support celtic with all my heart due to the irish connection.i also support my local team st pats in the irish league with the same passion.i myself find it hard to take the double standards which exist in ireland when it comes to supporting football teams.all of my mates have celtic tops etc or have come with me to glasgow for the matches but only one is,like me a true tim.the all support english teams.(my tim mate is also die hard pats).at the end of the day this type of "supporter" is only kidding themselves.they need a team to talk about down the pub when they are being brainwashed by sky on a sunday and i feel they dont know what it's like to really feel part of a club.for me my clubs represent who i am and where i am from and i feel thats the way it should be.
plus i'm sick of people who dont support irish yeams tapping me up for tickets to big irish national team matches.* off!

  7. i dont support MLS teams... not one in my city until 2009. probably will go to matches but in a celtic kit.

i despise mls fans who tell us you should support an american team. * that. love watching football with american football lines on the field.

  8. sound like muppets to me, why would u sing a football song whilst ur * in a niteclub toilet..?

  9. Football: I support Celtic FC - try to get to the home Old Firm matches every season and the odd home match against the Edinburgh sides if I can afford it - and supported Kilkenny City AFC until they resigned their position in the League of Ireland last year as there weren't enough supporters like me turning out. Also try and get to every Republic of Ireland home match.

Rugby union: I support Leinster Rugby - try to get to every home Heineken Cup match every season and catch the odd home Magners League match if I can afford it. Also try and get to every Ireland home match.

GAA: I support the Kilkenny hurling team - try to get to most home matches every season and all the All-Ireland Championship matches.

If I could only support one of them then I wouldn't be able to choose. All three (was four up until last year) of the sides either make or break my weekend. But, the way some people have been speaking on this thread, it's 'wrong' of me to support more than one team, isn't it? :87:

  16. Well i support Celtic.

And my second team is Arsenal.

Why? I used to go over there with my dad.

If someone asked me who i support id say "Celtic but i also follow Arsenal."

If Celtic played the Arsenal i would support the Bhoys.

I see nothing wrong with it.

Canceled my sky sports subscription as I've no interest in English fitba.
