If he was 17 or 18 I'd agree with you that he might need time but hes 22 mate. I don't see anything to suggest he can improve enough to play for us

 

Put his name out there to other clubs so we can sell him.
We have a big squad of ok players, let’s move some of them on so there is space to get far better players in who will improve the first team.
We are developing club but we have far too many projects who don’t really significantly improve the first team, let’s have a clear out so we can get the calibre of players into the team that we all want to see.
The board will just have to suck it up as the majority of the fan base are frustrated with the quality of the play on offer. It’s time for this club to step forward.

 

He's one that I'd put the question of, what does he have that our best wingers on the B team didn't? Why have we prioritised signing him (instead of a more first team ready player) over playing some of them?

I put Tillio in that same boat

 

He is rotten.

 

Fancy name, foreign, potential for big money sell on.

That's pretty much all it is with the vast majority of our signings.

Mikey Johnston is a far better option than Yang. The criticism Johnston gets is ridiculous in my opinion. People have a weird obsession with him. It’s genuinely like they want him to fail.

 

Johnston has always had a ton of potential and he’s always been rated highly by most people through the years. I always liked him anyway.

The issue has always been his injuries. Poor decision making and a lack of end product have also been in question as well but, in terms of his ability with the ball at his feet, there’s no doubt he’s quite a bit ahead of Yang and easily good enough to challenge for a place here if he can improve on the aforementioned trio that have plagued him for his career.

 

You're probably right, but it's been a massive step up for him, new country and culture. And we've probably relied on him a little too much, so not totally writing him off..

 

that was hard to watch yesterday from him. The constant being offside is so basic it's laughable. Brutal for him but he's just not got what it takes here

 

You knew exactly the same amount about him before he signed as I did - which was absolutely sweet * all!

He was signed to play football, and is playing football. Simple. Regardless of the situation.

 

If he is still misfiring come the summer then move him on and see if we can recover some of our money. Certainly doesn’t look like a 2.5 million pound player so far.

 

Actually thought he had an ok wee cameo. Was committing his man a fair bit..

 

Did well, just got no faith in his end product whatsoever. Reminds me a bit of Mikey Johnston in that respect.

Still a long way to go, but cameo displays like today will help his confidence.

 

* an entertaining livewire off the bench. Canny shoot or pass or cross the ball or thst but everytime he comes off thr bench really he’s been * entertaining as *. Whilst the fact it never leads anywhere mskes it mildly decorative entertainment

get him to * ,get mikey to * ,forrest and if tilio cant get a game in front of them get him to * as well ,cant just sit and watch players being * every time they play then expect them to be anything else .how much money is being wasted on 4 players instead of buying a proper rw

 

Get him sold, too many projects in the first team squad, some may come good but I don’t think Yang is one of them, cut down the deadwood and we can move forward.

 

He's the sort of project we should have, after we have a competent and experienced starting squad/match day squad.

I like him. Have to remember his age and all that usual stuff. He 100% is a project so will blow hot and cold for large spells.

But we simply don't have the patient of the experience in the squad to afford him this time right now.

If he was one of 3 projects at the club (Holm, Yang and maybe a CB) he would be fine to gibe a shot to every so often.

But when our wingers are made up of 80% projects, 10% injury prone and James Forrest then we really need to * sort it out - unfortunately for a guy like Yang.
