One thing you can say is that he easily looks more comfortable on the left than right wing for me..

Had some decent touches and moments in the game but isn't quite putting it together yet or in sync with his teammates..

Definitely shouldn't be a starter for us right now on the big stage..

Hate saying it but it looks like he's missing too many of the basics to come good.

He has the raw tools and Rodgers clearly sees that he’s just missing a whole lot of jigsaw pieces at this point and there’s no way he should currently be our starting winger in the Champions League.

What annoys me isn’t that he has ‘pieces missing’; it’s that we spent the entire summer wandering up and down the jigsaw puzzle aisle and came out with nothing more complete than this guy and Luis ‘good but towing a caravan’ Palma.

Projects are fine (as long as they’re developed properly), but we needed something closer to the finished article alongside those (and yes, I’m aware we won’t get the fully finished one).

Palma has shown he has plenty and he’s played about 5 minutes of football.

His two goals are top top drawer.

See on that when thinking about Yang specifically I think he was meant to be an Abada replacement, not first choice but able to make an impact off the bench or against lower half SPFL teams when starting. We spread our bets by signing Tilio too.

What ended up happening Jota left and Abada stayed but we went ahead anyway as we were down the line with the deals for Yang and Tilio.

It then took us all window chasing a left winger, I have no doubt Palma wasn’t first choice or possibly near the top of the list at all there but whoever was Podence, Ivanusec or however else went elsewhere.

Palma became what we thought was the best option and we signed him.

Not defending anyone here as our recruitment was rotten in the summer by and large and strategy seemed way off.

Aye he's just in the door, barely settled and although he doesn't look rapid, I'm surprised at the negativity around him. It's clear as day he's got game changing quality and and already shown it..

2 unbelievable deliveries in a few minutes at Fir Park and the coolest of big game finishes on the highest stage when the pressure was on.....ruled out through no fault of his own..

Yeah I'm really not getting the negativity either, Palma definitely looks like he has a bit of quality, but there's a fair few on here that seemed to have just written off all our new wide players as duds before they'd even kicked a ball, because on paper none of them were high profile enough to be considered a direct Jota replacement the second they arrived, but it's not like Jota himself came here a £20m+ rated player, he'd struggled to get a game for Benfica and was off the back of an apparently poor loan spell before coming to us, people are kidding themselves on that we knew he'd be as good as he turned out to be, the new guys need to be given time to step up same as he was.

Aye don't get me wrong, I wanted an x factor type in and thought we should've had an upgrade on Abada, whether he was staying or no and a Jota replacement..

Seems we've only got maybe Palma as the replacement and no upgrade on Abada who still shouldn't be a guaranteed starter..

If we had someone over there on that side along with Palma on the other and a left back we were all crying out for then we'd all be much happier..

I still think he'll come good, he's definitely not a starter currently, and I think Palma will start from now on.

Could be next year we see the best of Yang, when the team is fully settled.

I think he's like a weird reversal of Abada. He's got the skills Abada lacks...but lacks Abada's end product.

I think it was James McFadden who said that he looks useful but he doesnt look like he knows what he is going to do with the ball and i fully agree with this.

He needs to run with the ball with more purpose and have a better final product. Hopefully Kewell has been getting in his ear.

Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun has opened up on his Champions League nerves after playing in the competition for the first time.

The forward came off the bench for 30 minutes against Feyenoord in the Parkhead side's group stage opener before starting in the recent 2-1 defeat to Lazio.

And the South Korea international has outlined his aims for this seasons's competition.

Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: "I don't think there is any difficulty getting used to life in Scotland.

"But if I had to pick one, it would be the language. Since I'm not good at speaking English, there is a language barrier when I'm trying to communicate with other players on the team.

Other than that I have no problems. The speed of Scottish teams transitions from attack to defence or vice-versa is way quicker than Korean teams. Also, defenders here are a lot more physical. It was such an honour to play in the Champions League.

"It's a shame that I couldn't show all of my ability as I was feeling a bit nervous since it was such a big game. The main team objective is to win the Premiership.

"My personal objective is to score my first goal and be of help to the team."

The chat around him the now seems to be that he’s not shown much, I’ve heard that a few times from podcasts the night, I think he’s shown enough talent to show he’s got a lot to build on. We’re paying a relative fortune for a manager who’s one of biggest strengths is developing players and coaching them one on one into something they wouldn’t probably develop into under a manager who isn’t as strong at developing.

Yang looks a steal for Rodgers to turn into something. Some of the things you see him naturally being good at can’t be taught I think.

I think he's got a lot of talent. Same age as Abada so plenty of time to fine tune him.

Think people have got that used to Abada’s output at such a young age, people have forgotten that’s very unusual and most his age need to develop consistency with end product and having that natural innate ability for setting up goals and scoring them, Abada might be the only guy at 19/20 in our history that’s produced the numbers he does that consistently.

You might be going back to Dalglish to get that. The three best attacking, wingers for the most part, that I’ve seen develop here in Maloney, McGeady and Forrest certainly didn’t have that output at that age. Probably felt more electric and entertaining though, which captures the imagination.

That’s evident in the fact he tops the top U23 for Goals and assists in leagues outside the big 5 for last season.

See if you could actually merge there strengths you would have a very good player. Abada’s finishing and pace with Yangs dribbling and off ball work. Have Yang Abada!

In all honesty I think we signed Yang as an Abada replacement thinking he was off. Yang would have then mainly performed the role he did against Aberdeen coming on later in games against tired legs and running at them. But that’s not how things turned out due to Jota leaving and Abada staying.

Yang definitely has ability it’s whether he can be moulded into an effective player to go with the fast feet.

The more I see of him, the less impressed I am. Just seems to not have a clue where to position himself, when to make runs.

This guy concerns me to a bit. Like stated, he doesn't take up good positions at all. One assist aside I have seen little to be impressed. Both the Korean signings just look underwhelming at the minute
