    I like the kid.

He'd be better on the left though.

He has something about him but his end product is really poor so far for the situations he gets in.

The header he had first half all he had to do was meet it square on such was the quality of the cross but he tries to flick it and makes a mess of it. He beats players pretty easily but then often makes a mess of the pass or cross after that.

He is young and adapting to a new culture and surroundings and there is definitely tools to work with but end product for me is the big one. He badly looks like he could do with a goal.

Been fairly concerned about this one since his first appearance tbf. Infact, it amazes me the early criticism of palma and ongoing criticism of Maeda, whilst Yang seemed to be getting pass marks. The assist against Aberdeen aside, I can't think of any real meaningful contribution from Yang yet tbh. He puts a lot of effort in but his end product seems non-existent. Madea gets a hard time from some on here but for me his contribution carries far more impact than that of Yang!

He is young and needs time to develop but for me he has a very long way to go before he can be considered a regular

Playing very much like a young winger from the K League.

You get what you pay for. It's really as simple as that.

He came out flying in the 2nd half. Can’t knock his attitude.

Im surprised we always play him on the left, he never really looks interested in scoring a goal even though he is right footed, he always tries to dribble into the box and put the ball in - I feel like i've never once seen him try to cut in and shoot and yet he is right footed.

If he's not really interested or the type to cut in onto his right and hit a shot then theres no much point of him playing on the left where on the right especially as he runs to the byline a lot he'd be on his good foot instead of always cutting back to cross as well.

He has potential but we shouldn’t be in a position where we’re starting him in Europe; he’s a project player ffs - UCL games aren’t the place for developing him.

He’s gonna need time, but we shouldn’t be signing players like him and expect anything on nights like this.

Don’t know what he offers bar a bit of pace.

No harm on the boy, he definitely put in a shift and if we had recruited properly in the summer he'd be getting eased in to the team, but he should never be starting at this level, miles off it currently.

Absolutely nowhere near the level needed. Lost count the amount of times he knocked it out the park either with a pass or just trying to run with the ball.

I didn’t think he was that bad. Has really nice feet and did some good things with the ball, but seemed a bit scared to take on his man.

He still has to put it together but there’s a player there. Not ready for the CL yet, but wasn’t for lack of trying.

Got slated in the match thread but actually quite liked his gung ho attitude going forward. Certainly wasn't scared to take on players.

Absolutely incredible that this boy is Jota’s replacement.

The difference in quality between them is gargantuan.

    Like chalk and cheese.

We've found ourselves in another remarkable scenario whereby if we found a player with Yang's pace and willingness to dribble players and Palma's composure, passing and striking ability we'd have the perfect footballer.

    Unfortunately we've got either or.

He’s not though he was linked long before Jota even left
