Abada injury brings a huge opportunity for the lad.

 

The early signs from him are promising but he does seem to lack a bit of composure/final ball.

I like his willingness to get on the ball and take his man on though. For me he's much better on the ball than Abada, but Abada offers you plenty of G+A.

Needs to stake a claim and step up now. Massive chance for him.

 

Hopefully not having to force it with his 10 minute cameos will allow him to calm a bit and find that final pass. Could be the making of him.

 

Woeful today.. just couldn't get into it

 

Aye he didn't hide, but he wasn't great today.

It's easy to forget he's still a young player however, from what I've seen earlier he'll make it.

 

He's a trier but his end product thus far has been poor.

Spends far too much time on the deck as well. Seems to slip and slide all over the place.

Definitely a player in there somewhere though.

 

Looks good, needs to learn composure. He's a player worth giving more time to for development.

 

Needs time as he can beat a man. Thought he was a bit unlucky at times as well.

 

Thought he was dogged and kept at it, was a good battle with their lb but we want our wingers to be roasting spl full backs not being evenly matched.
He's got something though and I'm sure he will come good.

 

I think their LB had a very good game to be honest. I think Yang will come good. Lots of endeavour and still needs the team around him to click.

 

Thought he was one of our better players first half. Yes he overplayed it and could have kept it simpler but he was pretty much unsupported a lot of the time. Same for Maeda.

Rodgers looks to have the FBs sitting further back and less attacking than I'd expected.

 

Fbs were both inverted today. Both played in beside Mcgregor with 2 wingers and 2 10s ahead of them.

Taylor definitely played inverted v huns too. Rodgers spoke of keeping things simpler v huns, looks like he's gonna play system that players are more familiar with rather than what we are use to from him.

 

They also sat further back than I'd expect under Rodgers or previously Ange. Inverted or not they offered less support/options for the wingers.

 

Seems to lack strength, eased off the ball too easy for me..

 

Thought he was pish, full back had him in his pocket.

But, he isn't afraid to take men on, so hopeful of his future.

 

I can’t see it to be honest, but he’s only just here so let’s give him and the other side shows from the flea circus we have brought in a bit of time.

The Portuguese show pony had some stinkers too.

He is not afraid to have a go, but very raw and needs a lot more time to settle.

Whether cranky demanding * like myself are prepared to give him that time remains to be seen. Results will dictate how long each * sliding Smurf winger projects get to find their feet.

 

I would like to see him on the same time as Hatate. He was creating his own space, albeit not able to do a lot.
