I remember lennon saying similar about Frimpong.

Senior players giving it to youngest guy in team and hoping he would do something for them.

Early days but I'm already getting covid season vibes.

 

He was great until suddenly Brendan Rodgers thought we needed James Forrest instead of him.

 

Think he had fallen out of it a bit and looked tired but * me Forrest was awful

 

Play him in front of Johnson next week attacking barasic and maeda on the left tracking tavernier and protecting Taylor. I think I'd play iwata sitting and supported by McGregor and O'Reilly...we really need another CB in at least on loan and Palma hopefully on the bench. We can't have scales Ralston or Turnbull starting next week.

 

He looked knackered by then, and a bit lost at that point. Don’t blame him for that at all. Yang I mean. I’ll blame BR for it getting to that point

 

I thought he played well, shot his load and BR was right to take him off-but to bring on Forrest FFS.
Probably better off bringing on Bernie at that stage.

 

He’s done relatively well since coming in. Good assist vs Aberdeen. He needs more help though and he still has a lot to prove.

 

He should have had another couple of assists yesterday. Some of his final balls were poor but some were pretty good, O’Riley should have buried one of them, Turnbull got picked out and took about 5 touches rather than just letting it run across him and hitting it with his stronger right, Maeda at the back post had zero anticipation at one point and mid controlled another.

He also should have done better with a shooting opportunity but he is only 21 and has come half way round the world, his close control and trickery had their full back beat every time.

It’s shocking we actually got so dependant on Yang to create something while Turnbull was invisible and Maeda looked like he had never seen a football before.

 

Liking the look of him, he's definitely got the talent to take over from Jota. Few more starts and hopefully a couple of goals/assists and the confidence will kick in. Unclear if he's got the bottle to handle starting next week, but only one way to find out.

 

Logic dictates he must start next week. Possibly our best player yesterday. I don't see Palma debuting in the starting XI, but coming from the bench, sure.

 

Looks the best new signing we've made tbh. He'll settle more and as the wins roll in watch him flourish. He's a handful and so direct. Just gotta get a few more in and it'll click.

Yet, Rodgers played him on the left with Maeda on the right, weird..

 

Offered something, which is more than any other forward players

 

Yesterday reminded me of the way we used to just pass to frimpong and everyone else stand and watch hoping he could do something with it

 

Has to start for us! Technically gifted & an eye for a pass in the final 3rd

 

Don't know if it's been mentioned here or not, but Yang has recieved his first call up to the Sth Korean NT. Congrats.

Good to see Celtic fans are not the only ones watching his progress.

 

Noone talking about this guy, really clever feet ,brought into a tough game, going to be a huge asset as the season goes on

 

There are a few things he should do to make his skill count more. Once he beats a man, he should move on, and try a cross. Afterall, assists and goals win games.
