If we get our finger out and actually sign a few wingers, he'll be 5th/6th choice which I would be fine with.

    It's the hair mate :giggle1:

He's gradually creeping up towards a level where even his biggest critics will struggle to stick to their guns. If we see that more regularly I'll be a happy man.

Had an impact but how many times will this be a conversation.

If we have any ambition then he won't be featuring regularly for us.

Sadly that seems a big if.

Some of these poor quality scottish teams will seriously paper over cracks. Yang is fine if we play Falkirk at home. He wont be fine against most decent well organised teams.

Like, the teams we play against he can be good against and that?

Yang’s a laugh man. I’ll stop laughing if there’s no 3/4 ahead of him by September but

That's just it tho, that's the major problem. Shows flashes then nothing for weeks on end. Has a wee burst of something as a sub, starts the next game and he's a man down. We can't rely on that.

We can't rely on it at this stage, we need more established wingers for sure. Yang is still searching for that reliability, I happen to believe he'll get there, others don't. All fair stuff.

What's undeniable (by anyone with a fair mind) is he has the talent.

It's the application that matters really now, and I'm a fan of Yang.
He's not shown it in the big games, he didn't show it in the Cup Final on the biggest stage.
Once we sign our right winger, Yang will either rise to the occasion, or slide right out the door.

Aw the folk backing him, wait until he starts in the Champions League, you’ll be greeting about it. Trust me.

Realistically - what do we play against most of the time? Not very good teams. So, we don't exactly need a great player to be third choice. I do think the board should have provided Brendan with a RW in the mould of Kühn. But I'm fine with Yang being in the roster.

Personally, I don't want to see either Yang or Forrest starting at Ibrox.

    They are not good enough.

I "back him" in so far as I think as an impact sub or someone to start some cup games or games against lower half teams I think he's perfectly fine and shows moments of quality. I'd imagine he's on low enough wages that he'd be good value for that. I don't think it's his fault the board sold Kuhn without a replacement lined up. If he's starting CL games that's a failure of the board.

Why would we keep players who aren’t good enough for the level we’re trying to attain? We don’t need players to play cup games and against lower half teams, that’s a backwards logic in itself.

If we don’t have a guy coming through from the Academy who can offer the same as what Yang does, work ethic and a good attitude, then we’d be as well scrapping the Academy.

We genuinely don't have any academy players close to Yang's level, which is damning in itself..

The sad state of affairs is he will be going nowhere as we would need to bring in 3 wingers to make that possible and as things stand we are still waiting for one.

So where are they? Surely they'd be in the squad or at least given a chance pre-season? It's either we don't have them, or our coaching staff are incompetent.
