Hes such a bi polar player, only a few pages back we had someone call him one of our worst signings ever.

I wouldn't be against loaning him out tbh.

 

He's clearly making improvements. He's more effective than others across the front-line. Not sure he's good enough to hold down a starting spot for where we want to go.

 

Still continuing his steady improvement and looking more like a player as the games tick by. Has always had it in him but as I've said many times, some guys take longer to reach a level we need and he's one of them.

Really hope we hold onto him and he keeps doing what he's doing because he can contribute plenty over the season.

 

Yang Hyun-jun grabbed Celtic’s leveller on the night against Ajax and Rodgers admitted there’s no way the winger can be allowed to leave with the side short on wide men.

The Korean has been linked with a loan more to Norwich but Rodgers said: “I see Yang as an important member of our squad. He's a player that showed that domestically he can play well for us, and really well. He scored goals. He created goals. You see tonight that the goal he scored is very, very good.

“It's always a challenge, I think, at a club like Celtic, whenever players have maybe been for a couple of seasons and they're not quite established. “Because then they want to go and play more. But certainly at this stage, where we're at within the squad, it's not something I can even entertain. You see he's starting the games.

“And I see him as an important player for us in our squad. And once we can get the quality around him, then he'll be a good player for us.

“It's hard to say. At this moment in time, he's a starting winger for us. So we're not in a position to be moving him on. At this moment in time, it's not even in our thinking really."

Rodgers is saying in that interview, he’s only here until we bolster the squad. He’ll be away before the window closes.

 

Rodgers clearly rates him but those comments are definitely a bit of a dig to the board I think.

 

If Forrest had been fit in January, Yang was literally our 5th choice winger. Maeda, Kuhn, Jota, Forrest and Yang.

At this moment in time he is now a starter. He had a largely ok second half of the season and where we are just now if it meant Maeda went through the middle and we got 3 new forwards I would keep his a versatile can play either side option but to be starting for us just shows where we are.

I would rather do the above than loan him, if he is to leave he should be sold.

I think we are keeping Yang. Cant afford to let another winger go even if we do get a couple signed.

 

If he's here till we bolster the squad then he'll be around for a while yet I fear.

Just think he's trying to get Yang to stay on and contribute as a squad player but the wee man is wanting more than that. He'll no be digging the board in the press mate, he'll be talking to them directly every day.

 

Think hes saying Yang is really a back up player that at this point in time is starting through lack of alternatives. And had we got better alternatives then we might consider moving him on. But as it stands now we cant afford to.
