    not interested in another prestigious , " wow what an amazing away day " , glamorous huge club , group of death , cream of the crop group. For once i want an easy group, gimme schalke , basel and anderlecht and lets really try and compete and get to the last 16 again . * getting humped off those huns in chelsea, i just want us to do well and get a kind draw for once.

    Don't want Liverpool. They're a very strong pot 3 side. I want us to have the best possible chance of getting through. I wouldn't mind City or Chelsea.

    Nope...dont want anything to do with them.With the team we have, getting a point will be an achievement in the CL.

    We have a new manager and a lot of young players, and personally, for their development, i think we would actually benefit more from the EL........but maybe im being too negative, and they will pleasantly prove me wrong.

    There's no rule that is there not to play a player against a certain side in those circumstances by UEFA in Europe, see Bangura Vs us. Out of respect and if we want to keep a good relationship with Man City I'm sure we wouldn't play Denayer against them if we drew them.

    I'm aware of the general rules, my question was does he think there is a clause in the legally binding contract both clubs will have signed. A genuine and logical question.

    Bangura not having 1 was an oversight on our part.

    I thought it wasn't allowed? What happened with Courtois and Chelsea last year? Was that a mistake in the contract again or was that a UEFA intervention?

    It wasn't an oversight though, there is no clause you can put in a deal like that to stop them playing against their parent side when it's outwith the domestic league on loan. See Courtois against Chelsea last season for Atletico Madrid as well.

    Only out of respect and and a verbal personal agreement will see that Denayer doesn't play against Man City should we draw them.

    The rule isn't their in the UEFA rulebook so I struggle to realise that you can put a clause to prevent the player from playing against his parent club should they draw each other legally.
