    Some of the outskirts of Donetsk looked horrendous, livestock in the street etc.

    Since I saw Celtic play there was back once to go to the Donbass Arena and it just seems absurd in a city like that to have such an incredible and very expensive stadium when so many of the residents live in squalor, and that was before the war.

    I was looking for a 'worst town' thread...obviously Penicuik won't compare to some of the places mentioned in here...but it seemed to have a lot of junkies kicking about - basically everyone we drove past.

    Ardoyne! Grew up in it and you dont realise how bad it was untill you move away from it. Not a great place to bring kids up in. Some very decent people live there but quite alot arent. Been in one or two places in glasgow that where ruff. Boarded upflats all over the place yet people still lived in them. Few years back it was thou.

    1. Djerba, Tunisia. It reeks of * everywhere. No toilet paper at the airport. Suicidal taxi drivers.
    2. Narvik, Norway. Bombed heavily during WW2. Depressing Soviet-ish concrete architecture rose from the ashes. The people are nice though.
