I think you've mentioned Birkenhead on a similar thread mate and you're spot on!! Absolute shithole!
After the clubs close on a Friday/Saturday night you've had it.it's like a war zone or something.had mates having to go to hospital because they didn't have a lighter or because their jeans were 'too baggy'.Honestly,it's like 90% of Birkenhead get beaked up and then just go out to fill someone in.
You're on edge all night, look the wrong way or bump into the wrong person and your nights done.5 minutes on a train from Birkenhead and you're in Liverpool...the difference is crazy

    Probably have mate..

It definitely had that clicky, small town syndrome x 10 and was overly unwelcoming in practically every establishment we were in, and we covered most :smiley-laughing002:

What's that club called Dixie, the sun or sunny something, did karaokes and stuff?

Aye, Liverpool is great, had a few good night's up there in the past. Gets a bad rep down here but always found it more accommodating than Manchester for example although warehouse in Manchester (full of scousers to be fair) trumps scouse club's depending on what your after..

Almost but not quite as bad as Slough.

Haha they've a good set up out there in fairness. We had to wear stab-proof vests playing the match though which was an inconvenience.

Can only think it'd maybe be Ibiza sun or something like that or the beach.
Not a great place to be if you haven't got a local accent especially if it's a mancunian one.Got chased by about ten scruffs one night because we had a couple of mates from Chester with us.
Yeah Liverpool is spot on for a night out.if you know where you're going you can have a great night out.Only been to Manchester a few times and never had any bother.theres so much to do there.

Cork City (and I have family from there, * bless them), Washington, DC, Chester, Pennsylvania. Horrid places, I'd rather not visit again.

Chester is like what you would expect in Sarajevo circa 1990s, its downright depressing, and hard to believe in is in a first world, Western country. I saw the Celts play there, never felt more uncomfortable in my life.
