    I'm not saying Lennon was anywhere near Makelele in terms of ability, but he barely scored, just like lennon barely scored. You can hardly use lennons lack of goals against him, he wasn't in the side to score goals. I'm astonished that anyone could put Lennon in amongst celtics worst ever players. He was brilliant for us, and a great captain too

    I'd give him till the january window then put him in here straight after we punt him , I know we have n't saw much of him but from what I have saw he looks gash and realy can't see him getting better . Would n't mind being proven wrong though

    I think tacking on Dominic Cervi is a bit harsh. He's not a great player, aye, but he's a third choice keeper. He never even played a (competitive) first team game...

    Good shout. Of the recent cast i'd go with Maj and Kelvin Wilson. Hope Wilson follows Maj out the door this summer.

    This thread will turn into a bashing of players people personally don't like. If opinion is divided then surely they couldn't be in the 'worst ever' category. Someone mentioned Caldwell for crying out loud. For at least a year he was the best CB at Celtic, has been Scotland's best centre back for half a decade and just won Wigan's player of the year. Because he scored the odd own goal he's suddenly a terrible footballer? He also put his life on the line to stop the ball going anywhere near the net and I was personally gutted when we let him go.

    Telfer and Camara were particularly bad especially since they replaced 2 modern Celtic legends still playing at a high level - McNamara and Agathe.

    Really a 21 year old who has only played about 90 minutes total playing time for us having not played professionally for the best part of a year and you are saying he is one of our worst players? Bit harsh considering the countless duds we have experienced over the years
