Even when at parnell the crowds were nit blockbusters.
Didnt realise it has been near 5 years since they left there, thought it was 2 max

Most counties are the same regarding other sports.

    In terms of...

Scum - The zombies...also Millwall, Chelsea and anyone like that

    Arrogance - Man United

    Delusion - Liverpool

Sticking by your team - Aston Villa is a shout yea, they had their worst league attendance in absolutely ages the other week and it was their 140th anniversary celebration or something like that

Attendance is not really something I'm bothered about, Wigan is a rugby town so would never get good crowds.....Man City got 30k in the third tier, not many teams could do that.

If they were to get 60k crowds week-in-week-out, a whole load of them would be glory hunters, yet they would be praised for it. Doesn't make sense to me tbh.

I say a lot of them wouldn't go to parnell Park because there's not a lot of pubs around and like every other sport a lot of people are just going for a few drinks and for the other point it's nowhere near the level as dublin especially for big teams like bohs rovers Leinster there's even a Cricket ground ffs and also the fact soccer is a lot bigger here the dublin support is good and you can't deny it

Where did i say it was not good ?

Thats a * poor excuse for not going to Parnell.

Cricket, rugby, hockey, soccer all exist outside of dublin also.

By bringing them up in this thread haha and I'd still go parnell not a bother but that's what fans are like with all teams imagine now many celtic fans would go the next game if all pubs in a 5 mile radius where shut down for match day

Yeah totally agree. Was watching Genoa v Lazio last night and the atmosphere was horrific. I actually thought Genoa had been forced to play in an empty stadium, but no there were quite a few fans in attendance.

Think the problem in Italy is a lot of teams have old * stadiums that are far away from the pitch, so the atmospheres sound * and its probably not very good for watching football and given most of the teams are worse than they were 10 year ago fans have disappeared.

Think its quite common in Italy for there to be less than 100 away fans at games and its a country with a population of 61 million.

I doubt it. A quick Google search says that Arsenal have 45,000 season ticket holders this years. In a city the size of London finding 10,000 extra Arsenal fans who can't afford a season ticket (or use a season ticket) won't be hard. I'd be surprised if more than a thousand at each Arsenal game were day trippers/glory hunters. They're not exactly Barça or Real Madrid.

The atmosphere there is * but you can't fault them for their attendances, made all the more impressive by their crazy ticket prices.

Yeah the leagues not as good as it used to be at all. Dont understand why the attendances are so poor though. I mean there a passionate country about there football, and tickets prices aren't that bad are they?
