    Busquets does the dirty job for Barcelona and Spain, which is over looked due to the flair and creativity the rest of the team produces. He is a diving * and play acter which many dont like him for or like about him. the fact he has 2 champions leagues and a world cup medal along with 3 la liga titles and he has played a big part in all of those winners medals obviously shows he cant be that over rated.

    Hmm, Alonso more of a creative player and Yaya more of an attacking midfielder so not sure why they're scoring highly :p

    Definitely Busquets, as big a * as he is. Mascherano not far off.

    Interesting that Man Utd don't really use a holding/defensive midfielder anymore...

    Puyol isnt the best the best defender in the world, most would agree with that, pique is probably 2nd imo only to vidic, and alves defensive capabilities is well in doubt, ive watched him for brazil and hes never been great defensively when put under constant pressure which he very rarely experiences with barca, going forward hes probably the best FB in the world though.
    On busquets hes definitely one of the best DMFs in the world but again judging him individualy which is what the whole point of this poll is about i think toure is better.

    Or the fact i may dislike Barca which is true i have always liked Real better due to the connection with Ex Man Utd players going to them.

    I voted for Xavi and Iniesta in the poll for centre midfielders, not any Madrid or United players

    I will vote Messi in the forward category

    I voted Vidic and Pique in the centre back when according to your logic it is the last thing I would do

    I voted Alonso in the defensive midfielder category because I think he is the BEST not because I like Madrid

    I voted Lahm in the left back category not Evra or Marcelo

    He can defend but hes by no means brilliant at it especially for brazil, his main strength is going forward, lahm who i voted is much better defensively and is great going forward.

    Barcelona keep him quiet. Not Dani Alves. It's a team effort. That's their biggest strength as a team. When was the last time a player was exposed in a Barca game? Their FB's are average CL-level defenders, yet they're never got at.
