Is Salah any good for Egypt?

They have a chance if he’s at anything like the level of the season he’s just had.

He’ll be choking to make a big impact here since Ramos stole his chance to shine on the biggest stage in club football.

No got a scooby how he is for Egypt right enough, but if he plays like he has this season he’ll drag them up a few levels.

Just realised I never articulated what they had a chance of :56: getting out the Group I mean!

Think the World Cup needs guys like Salah to shine, creates interest in the ‘lesser’ games.

I've been watching a bunch of these friendlies and the keepers are seriously struggling with this ball. Saudi keeper is a bombscare

I'm amazed Russia are favourites to go through ahead of Egypt. They are * abysmal.

I also think it’s due to the first games scheduled.

Russia should beat Sauidi’s and Uruguay will be favoured to beat Egypt.

Putting pressure on Egypt early doors.

I'm sure I read that he might miss the first game but should be able to play the other two group matches. Might be wrong, though.

Honestly wouldn't bet on Russia beating Saudi Arabia.

Listening to a podcast yesterday and a Russian journo was saying the team is woeful. Loads of injuries, which has forced them in to playing a different system than they've been using for over a year.

Could see them getting 1 point from the group.

Russia cant be favourites to beat anyone in their group, they'll be lucky to scrape draws against Egypt and the Saudis.

Out of the last 9 hosts going back to 86 only South Africa have not made it out of the group. The US did and Mexico, South Korea and Japan all won their groups.

Having said that I don't know how bad Russia are.

He dragged them through the qualifiers. Only two other players scored for them in the last group round of qualifying.
