I had a job when I was 16 in a retail shop, the wages were pretty *, just above minimum wage. That was a good few years ago, I think now most places are paying about £4/5 odds an hour, It just depends where the job is really.
Good luck with the job hunt :50: -
Cheers mate

Mimumum wage usually, thats £3.53 a hour for 16-18 year olds mate, best staying on pocket money :56:

i'm 18 now been working on and off since i left school.found it hard to hold down a job . not sure wether it's just in my nature . or because of my age or simply havent found the right job yet .
but tbh i don't think kids should be forced into a job as soon as they leave school just seems to me that ppl arent given time to enjoy being children now without having to go to school, pressure of exams , college, work , etc.... -
When I was 16, I was working out with obout 170 as a groundworker.
-
haven't even looked at jobs yet and i'm 16, started college last month doing a joinery course though so i think im just gonna finish that then try and get an apprenticeship. cant be arsed with part time jobs tbh.
-
im 17 and on 3.53 an hour, its pish.. 18 next month tho, so it gets a little better.
