As I get older my view of communism becomes more and more distrustful. does anybody actually believe a real communist country is possible?

The problem I see with it is that in such revolutions, the vanguard often becomes a ruling political class itself.

The principle of from each according to their ability, to each according to their need is sound though.

I am very centrist related. Hence, why I will be voting for the Liberals at the Genrral election. Willie Rennie is easily the best speaker out of all the scottish politicians. Nick Clegg is also a very forward thinking guy. Norman Lamb has made significant strides in reducing the stigma of mental health. Some good people in the Liberal party.

There are. They talk a good game but I worry they've sold out a lot of their values.

Could have sworn that someone was asking me if I just have movement that I support or if I have a general distrust for politicians nowadays. I can't find it though.

Yes, I do have a general distrust for politicians. Very few can stand for what they initially claim to believe in, and serve their supporters, without bending or buckling under even the slightest pressure.

Sometimes decisions and positions that are unpopular with swathes of the public, or decisions and positions that come with a lot of media backlash, are the best ones for the people as a whole. Most are interested in saving their careers, or working for their parties, and of course a LOT of special interests, than real civil service. They all, for the most part, make me sad, at least at times. Some make me even more sad than others.

In general, I support elements of the right and even the left that best serve the Nation. I tend to look beyond what is considered right wing, and what is left wing, and look for what is fundamentally GOOD. I am too open minded to fall into one political party, or category, or even ideology. I love some fundamental political concepts, though, such as nationalism, patriotism, republicanism (in the traditional sense, not any particular party), social darwinism (in terms of Nations, businesses, and individuals, not the misconstrued racist sense), corporatism, compassionate conservatism, individualism, animal welfare, some elements of social justice, and many others.

I don't think I'll ever toe and particular party line ever again, though. I'm an independent.

I support the idealistic and politically radical thinkers freedom to exist and express themselves. May free speech and freedom of the press and other intrinsic human rights prevail.

    THIS:50:

As a human being, I just do not understand Socialists or Communists. I support the individual as equally important as the whole...possibly due to my Christianity, but that's just I.

On top of its central focus being atheistic materialism, its practice of class warfare, its denial of the liberties and rights of human beings, including the right to ownership of private property, are all incompatible with Christianity.

It is also counter to free will...

"Freedom is the power, rooted in reason and will, to act or not to act, to do this or that, and so to perform deliberate actions on one's own responsibility. By free will one shapes one's own life. Human freedom is a force for growth and maturity in truth and goodness; it attains its perfection when directed toward *, our beatitude."
