They also "wasted" a few, which was what the poster said about Neil.

Did they not give a * either then or are they just notoriously hard to win I wonder?

If Ronny can achieve what Lenny did for Celtic I'll be a happy man. To answer the initial question I think Lenny left due to lack of funds and reckon he thinks he's in with a good chance of getting a decent level job in England. Ronny shows promise and is cheap, suits our board to a T

The League cup hates us pure and simple, we did 14 finals on the trot and only won a handful, but that was in an era Scottish Football was strong, the Hibs and Hun teams then had some great players.

    Lennon had it easy imo

and with that I'm out, such a weak * argument. Really * me off that people use the demise of the huns as a stick to beat Celtic managers with.

He quit (IMO) because of the budget, plain and simple he could not take us further with the budget that was put in place this season and can you blame him for doing it? I can't and. Ow the board have got Johan's replacement as manager in and gave him the same or even less of a budget than what was on offer for Lennon.

The good thing about Ronny is he was not a fresh faced Rookie and has won things with his old club, let's see what happens this season and pray to * the board have not shot them selfs in the foot by not making a better budget for Lennon and we don't get into the champions league and it puts us back years.

It wont put us back years mate, but its makes for one long boring season, but on the bright side it saves us humiliation in the CL, we will be a pot 4 team and you imagine us against a Madrid, Liverpool or some 3rd pot team with this squad

It would out us back years, players would have to be sold to help run the club and the budget would be even smaller next season and the team would be weaker.

Then it would take another few seasons to get back to where we are now and that's not factoring in them when not if they come back.

We have had it easy in the league the last 3 years we will not have it easy for long so let's hope we don't drop the ball.

Also does not matter who we get in the champions league we need the money to get better players if we take a humming them so be it imagine the bumping we would take if we don't have the money and the team we will have to use playing the likes of them in a year is so, frightening if you ask me.

Mate, Lawwell would sell them even if we made the CL every year, the second one of our players is subject to a bid he likes they are offski

Aye... I agree wholeheartedly with u Sean. This has easily been the hardest domestic period for a manager of Celtic...Easily!....

Yes but we would still have some money to spend, if we never made the groups then we would spend nothing. And that would put us back.

What makes this the hardest period for a manager....in your opinion.
I would have thought spending money and having some very good players while the rest of the splfplf spends nothing and 3 of our rivals gone would make it easier, and that is reflected in our points gap last three years the gap has been 20...16...29 points.
    29 points is * huge.

Upsets for those manager but with Morton, Kilmarnock, Hearts, St Mirren, Aberdeen and Ross Co the team often look lethargic like they hadn't bothered to train for the game or were hungover.

I think he left really because the board told him to get stuffed in terms of transfer funds Lennon quite rightly IMO walked away. What's the point in staying as manager where you are going to keep losing your best players, sell rebuild sell rebuild, I'm sure Lennon thought to himself"* that".
