    Barca could have even won it, 2-0 was a bit of a shock to their systems, they went into a panic mode after and needed Messi magic to score their goal.

    The Barcelona defence cant handle someone running at them so must have put him on to give us an outlet coz we were really on the backfoot at this point so put him on coz he would chase all the long balls & even after the goal he robbed mascherano of the ball by running & putting pressure on him coz they couldnt handle his pace then he was brought down or he dived i cant remember lol.

    Its a shame he became an * coz I really thought he was gonna become a great striker for us.

    IIRC, Lustig went off, Matthews moved to right-back, Mulgrew or Ledley went to left-back, Commons dropped further back to CM and Watt came on to keep 3 up front. Commons later moved back up when Kayal came on for Sammy (seem to recall Kris having a few late cracks at goal).

    Definitely vividly remember Matthews changing sides. Commons was on one side of a front 3, so aye, on the wing, but he ended up with a kind of free role further back into the midfield once Watt came on. He worked hard all over the pitch that night, though.
