He was waffling on about Stokes having fell out with Trap and Lenny after his second goal.
I liked him as a player for us, and I will forever remember him as an important member of the 98 title winning team... but what an utter * of a man. This goes further than just being unbiased, the guy clearly hates us. -

I mind one moment towards the end of the game where he sounded like some * guy in the pub, an ICT player lunged at Paddy and the ref was telling him off for it, and Burley said "Aww for goodness sake, just book him and get on with the game!". He's a *, and he's such an amatuer!

The best one he came out with was Joe Ledleys too versatile for his own good. Crazy thing to say as that is the type of player we need right now with the crazy amount of injurys we have.

He did annoy me with his commenst about sammy going down like he was shot and made the most of it. There was a few others he said, cant remember them now but when he was saying them i was thinking"this guy is a * wankstain"

Think your spot on with this, was slapped down a few times during 97-98 for his outspoken ways while playing for the hoops. Had been told a few stories about him and his outspoken ways, he used to speak to Mr Keevins very regularly. When Setanta went * up, and just a while before it his resturant in Nottinghamshire went belly up he was on the sauce and trying anything to get back into the media. At this time his uncle was Scotland gaffer - George Burley - and was giving him a hand out to get back into the media. Burley has made a right few quid from setting up a property company after I think it was around a 3M deal to the hoops and then the same 2 year later to Derby.
Think I can remember his issues with Celtic was he felt underpaid as he was player of the year in his first year in the SPL. Lambert was captain and he wanted the same dosh as him and the big bhoys. Was never a Celtic fan, and will never be as he felt short changed by us. -
I dont really think he is anti-Celtic, he is just an egotisical little * who doesnt want to admit he is wrong or made a mistake

Never liked him ever since those comments about the McGeady 'dive' when he was sent off against Hibs under Mowbray. Repeatedly called him a cheat, even corrected the other commentator when he used the word 'dived'. Burley was having none of that, it was 'cheated' or nothing. Even though he was tripped.
Also went on about our second being offside this afternoon, which a few have done actually, even though the replays showed he was onside.
