    It's heartbreaking.

And when you think how poor our defence has been pretty much since he got injured what a difference he would have made to it. I'm not saying our defence is bad because he got injured it's just a coinsidence. Not long after he got injured Mjallby left, Balde was frozen out not long after, Valgaerens fitness went to bits and we had to suffer through the likes of Varga and McManus.

Essentially McManus got the position JK would have got despite only being half the player

I thought Derek Riordan would make it at Celtic, but he was played out of position most of the time and never really got an opportunity to prove his worth up front.

Obviously Harold Bratpack (* knows how you spell that) wasn't all he was cracked up to be. I remember he scored four goals in a game and everybody thought he'd finally show his ability, but nah back to * again the next week.

Was hoping that Braffheid would be better too just 'cause he was at Bayern, but he looked like every other recent Celtic left-back.

    Eyal Berkovic.

I thought that guy was immensely talented and could have been a superstar for us. He didn't seem to have the stomach for the rough and tumble of the Scottish game though and he really blotted his copybook when he stuck the fingers up at the Celtic fans after scoring, I gave up on him after that.

A certain Jim Melrose in the early 1980s did the same to us after scoring at Tannadice.

hate to say it...but i though darren o dea was gonna be a monster of a player for us............. he may have played a good few games.....but he's never quite blossomed into the defender we crave.

Criticism of Gravesen was miles over the top for me.

Yeh he had some rotten games, but 6 goals in 18 games, including 2 old firm goals, often gets overlooked.

I liked Graveson also, He will always be tainted for the rangers game he was running about like a chicken but to be fair this was mainly due to the poor performance from the whole team. I almost felt Strachan didnt like him bombing from the middle looking to score.

Harold Brattbakk. Larsson put them on a plate for him and he still missed more than he scored.

Had the last laugh though when he went back to Rosenberg.

Still a legand though with his goal against St Johnstone.

Tommy Johnson was another one, always played with a smile on his face.

We were garbage the 2nd half of that season and Hartley was poor too. Gravesen never got the chances others did. He ws ideal for behind the striker in a 4-5-1 which we wanted to use in Europe. We should have at least used him to get him in the shop window instead of just paying him off. Another transfer disaster from start to finish. He could easily have done what Brown done for the last 2 years!!

Same as Donati and Jarosik, 1 bad game and they disappeared for months. Hartley and Brown were allowed to have shockers week in week out with no fear of being dropped.

I have a feeling that there will be a few in the current squad being added to this list as well. Perhaps Zhi, Mizuno and maybe Crosas or N'Guemo if we get the players we are after.
