Doesn't really matter if Inter has problems with FFP. The era when owners could just inject unlimited money into the clubs for players is over.

Interesting article OC. There is actually a good reason for this and that is tax. Nobody is gonna have £25billion sitting in a bank account are they. It doesn't matter. Indonesia's the fourth biggest population on the planet - 253 million people - pretty crazy that.

China, India, US - then Indonesia. So if everyone buys a Milan top that's a few quid, plus any other product they can direct towards the asian market via the Milan brand and also the other way into Europe.

You never know with these guys whether it's a pet project, but i'm sure their might be some money to spend, but it might be true that they need to offload some players to do that.

Are they on general sale, where'd you see this. I thought they'd just sell a few more per season ticket holder like before or gers game.

One of the things that I noticed when I saw the full draw after seing us get Inter Milan was that Salzburg got Villareal. So in the end at least with our group no real advantage in qualifying as first or second.

Do you think Celtic should ask for the Premier game against St Johnstone away on Saturday 14th February to be brought forward to at least Wed 11th or Thursday 12th Feb to allow Celtic time to prepare for the Home tie against Inter just in case anyone picks up an injury.
The extra couple of days may be all the difference.

He's not exactly deadwood, but he's one of the few players we can get a reasonable and worthwile price on.

He had/has the potential and the physical skills to be one of the best players in any league in the world.
But he has the brain of an ant - I've probably never seen a football player with a smaller IQ, and I'd be delighted if someone could take him off our books.

You are absolutely spot on actually, and no offense taken.

That being said, and as you said, I mean no disrespect, we should be able to send you lot packing. But you absolutely have a shot, and not such a small one as many would think at that.

That's fair enough, we're certainly not favourites. I was just trying to highlight that we have a fighting chance.

It should be an interesting match. There's the history of course, but it is also two teams in transition and both teams have defensive issues. Inter has a bigger budget, but also a more difficult financial situation. Deila has had more time to build his team, but Mancini has more experience etc. Im also incredibly excited that it looks like i will get to see this one at Celtic Park, should be the highlight of the year :shamrock:

Think we could need a 2 goal leas to take to Italy with us, which hopefully we sort our defence up by then.

on Inter this is a question to OC or any other inter folk on here do they feel that kovacevic and Icardi are there most dangerous weapons ?

imo from watching a handful of games they seem beatable which iam surprised about tbh

I could write an essay about Kovacic, and how I honestly believe he could be one of the absolute players on Earth in a couple of years, if he had a place and a club to prosper and nurture his abilities. As is, Inter's never been that sort of place for young players to grow in, and as such, he's never going to reach that sort of level here.
But when he moves, not if, he'll be up there, that's for sure. If I was forced to, I'd liken him to an Iniesta in terms of potential, with worse passing but much better runs from deep.

Right now, he's a good-to-great player on his days. A lot of discussion has been had about where to play him; some suggests he should be in the hole bethind the attackers, others see him as a trequartista or a false nine. Mancini even tried him on the wing in one of the first games.
Personally, he was always born to be a central midfielder, where he can utilize his dribbling (not fancy-pancy stepovers, but Zanetti style* runs) and his breadth of view. He lacks calmness on the ball, and his decision making leaves a lot to be desired as of now, but remember, he's basically been charged with controlling the offense of the worst Inter sides in generations since he came on board last year - that's a lot of responsibility for and pressure on a 19-20 year old kid.

To answer your question, yes, if Hernanes' not playing or playing well, Kovacic is who you'd want to look out for.

*sorry if I speak in Inter lingo, but I hope you get the gist of it

Icardi is a clinical poacher, who has been participating a bit more in the link up play since Mancini took over, but he's not particularly good at it. What he knows is scoring goals, and he'll do that if you give him chances.

We haven't been very good at that, and if we have, it's usually been cross after cross after cross or hopeful long balls (under Mazzarri), if you can even call that chances. Still, he's a good player, but not one who can create anything on his own. That's Osvaldo's job now, since Palacio seemingly decided to forget how to be a football player doing the World Cup.

And sure, we're beatable. We're coming off the worst league start in 20 years, and the man behind that is no longer at the club. Mancini has had 5 games if I remember correctly, and we're doing better. Not by much, but better. Baby steps. Chievo was hopefully the start of some stability, but with Lazio and Juventus coming up...
It would be wrong of me to say, that the only thing I care about right now is how we play and not the results, cause that's an outright lie.
But the former, in the current state we're in, is what we should be focusing on. If we manage that, hopefully the results will follow. I'd be very surprised if this season's Inter is the one that shows up at Parkhead in Februray.

That's why I prefer not to speculate as to who's going to win and how, as we've, as well as you have, a transfer window and a lot of matches till then.

If anyone's interested, we're playing Lazio, who are having a great season and just 1 point off a CHL spot, in 15 minutes on BT Sports 1.

Should be a good indicator of where we currently stand against a team currently playing very well.
